You can fly it with stripped down gopro for decent quality. However still it will struggle with wind more than a 7inch... but yeah, the jello looks awful in the footage.

3" long range club here, its great that people are finally starting to see how good the smaller quads are for this kind of thing. With only small modifications, you can start getting more that 15 min of flight time on things like a diatone gt r349

Roughly $354 for the quad with dji and battery. Good luck getting it though. You are better off building it from scratch. Btw don't order the extra batteries. Apparently you can't have the batteries shipped with your order unless you spend another $54 on another set of batteries. Came out to $412 with one set then she said I had to spend another $54 on more batteries if I wanted the extra ones I already paid for. Took 2 weeks to get my money back because she said she already refunded me. I won't buy anything from flywoo anymore.

When I think of long range I think mountain and cliff diving. The higher up you get the stronger the wind shear is. I prefer a 7 inch with some weight for this exact reason otherwise you’ll get jello. Additionally your field of view is INSANE when you’re on top of a mountain further making jello more apparent. Looks like an awesome tool in your tool bag but I don’t think it replaces the bigger brother (until remote ID and we can only fly sub 250 🤷‍♂️)

These things fly really well but in my experience you will really notice a 20+ mph wind but it won't be enough to send you home. I have tried the following batteries in 4S: 1800, 1500, 1300, 1100, 850, and 650. The sweet spot is 850 4S. The heavier batteries don't really extend flight times more than a minute or so over the 850 and they dog the quad down. Maybe if you pull a trailer and have no wind at all you could get 20 minutes but if you want to not worry about wind, fly it like a freestyle quad for 8-10 minutes, then I recommend the 850.

@@meazy451 And the 4" handles the winds high up decently well? (my 4" LR is arriving next week) I normally fly 7" for glacier surfing. I've gone full throttle to escape winds with a quad that goes 130kph. I didn't think this little quad could handle the same? Anyways when I get mine I'll be flying it to the top of a mountain but I'm going to be really careful about getting to far out in the open near the top. I'm really curious to see how far out I can get it.

Adding a Caddx tarsier to mine if I get one. Best of both worlds, excellent fpv cam and clean 4K footage. Stabilize in post edit and boom!

FPV wannabee probably so while using the WiFi feature to use your phone as a monitor. I don’t know a whole lot about the camera. I just got one and love it. It has a very clear fpv feed and the recordings are also awesome! Little extra post work but that’s ok. I like the idea of not having an extra 300$ Added to an already expensive lawn dart hahaha. It’s an awesome review none the less. Always pumped to see these video drops!!!

Your link to the lithium ion battery is wrong that’s a 1C battery made for goggles I assume you meant to do the 2000mah lithium ion which is up to 30 C

So using this battery on this drone you actually flew for 30 minutes? Is this 30 mins of calm flying of was there the occasional sent it and freestyle? Also does this 30 minutes with the battery work on any other drone you have of the same size as i feel like this is something that you should address more. I would be very interested to see if you can use this battery to fly other drones of the same size for that long as I would go out and buy like 5 now if you had supported evidence of this

To really do everything the 7" will do it would need a barometer and a magnetometer and Crossfire diversity (not to mention a full-size GoPro and air unit). Don't get me wrong, it's great to have something that small and yet so capable... looks like it'll be a hell of a fun addition to the fleet. I already ordered mine.
