in addition, im not sure if you know about the issue with dji fpv goggles and sun benign out the screen, so make sure you put them down antenna up.... not down. (so sunlight doesn't shine on lenses and possible damages your screens.)

Nope. When you buy an FPV drone from the BIG companies and select the XM+ receiver option, all the companies flash the receiver with firmware to make it not protected. I've never had an issue to date and I've reviewed hundreds of FPV drones with XM+ receivers, all connected the RADIOMASTER or JUMPER radios.

just a note, the camera is going to be digital on a analogue system too, its the signal that is analogue or digital, thats the main difference between DJI FPV and fat shark etc... not the camera.

I'm not a FPV pilot BUT this one is very tempting. It's sort of a crossover drone as it has some of the key features that will make non-FPV flyers more comfortable flying it (clear digital signal, and GPS "RTH" and longish range ) and likely lure them into the FPV world. I had this discussion with a FPV pilot 2+ years ago...(why don't FPV companies add these smart features to their FPV drones to try and bridge the gap between camera drones and FPV drones) and it looks like this beginning to happen. This company is on to something...but the window may be narrow as it's only a matter of time before DJI wants a piece of this pie and starts offering "hybrid" ready to bind drones. My guess is that DJI will add some other value add features (e.g., electronically stabilized video, hover mode -- if you get into trouble the drone will just hover in place and maybe an automated one button land mode). So many people would consider FPV drones if the gap (features and learning curve weren't so big) and this type of drone might just bridge that gap. I'm jussayin....

Nope, this is an FPV Drone. You are confusing an FPV drone with a beginner Camera Drone (like DJI & Autel drones).

You either buy DIGITAL or ANALOG and you select the RECEIVER in the drone to match the radio (controller transmitter) you own. You can record the video in your goggles if you don't place a camera on the drone.

You'd need a 4-in-one chip set controller like a Radiomaster TX16S or ZORRO, then you have to purchase the correct crossfire module

Well, I dont think this would be ok for complete beginners, unless you will get combo dji goggles and controller than it would probobly be only plug and play. I got one of them but Im using my taranis x9d with it and also had to buy crossfire because 2.4ghz is simply not enough for this quad. Also not to mention that you may have to do some minor set ups/adjustments on betaflight

When you buy an FPV drone you have to also pick the RECEIVER. The receiver you pick must match the radio you own. So if you own a DJI FPV Radio, and you want to buy a drone with a digital camera, you would select NO RECEIVER or PNP (PLUG AND PLAY). If you don't own a DJI FPV Radio, then you would pick the receiver that is compatible with the radio you own.

I would like to see a competition where there's a set list of features such as digital video, RTH, and less than 250 g using the same battery specification. The goal would be flight time and distance. I think this product could be as popular as the concept of Kabab's toothpick. I'm not good at freestyle or racing but I would definitely like to be able to see things and go places but not have the government breath down my neck.

Mostly in North America. Horizon Hobby owns SPEKTRUM and SPEKTRUM RADIOS are a North American thing mostly. 4K does not exist on FPV DRONES, it is up to you to add such a camera.

Get yourself a CETUS FPV kit. BETAFPV sells them and they come in different versions. The latest one is the CETUS X, but I'm not sure if that one has hit the market yet.

I'm not familiar with that radio but since it is a Taranis it should work with the XM+ receiver.

This an FPV Drone. Geofence is something in the beginner camera drone hobby (beginners use it). The FPV hobby is the non-beginner hobby so geo fence does not exist.

Love the Video, The drone is on sale and I just got all the complete set from your Site, I hope that help, but one Question: How can you use the GPS return to you on the DJI remote? Since it is an Air Vista can you record on it with a Memory Card beside the Goggle? I know all my DJI Remote has the Return H bottom. Thanks

On a DJI Remote you would assign the GPS to one of the 4 switches in BETAFLIGHT (watch my FPV FOR BEGINNERS SERIES episode #10). Air VISTA has no spot for a micro SD Card, so you record in your Goggles or you attach an Insta360 GO or other small camera.

Explorer LR does it have auto level mode?

In the wold of FPV there is no such thing as AUTO LEVEL mode. Perhaps you are think of ANGLE MODE which stops you from flipping the drone upside down.

CAPTAIN DRONE Thanks for the reply! I was thinking more of a in case something happens mode like some walks up to you you could just let it chill for a second but I guess worst case scenario you just hit return to home for a bit. Just starting out with the betafpv starter kit.

@@JoeyAtilano Oh dear, there is no such thing as let a drone chill for a bit in the FPV world, you can never remove your fingers from the joysticks or the drone will crash. You may be thinking more along the lines of Camera Drones like DJI, Yuneec, Hubsan, Autel, etc. Camera Drones are all called beginner drones because you don't need practice or skills to fly them, the drone does all the work for you. The opposite is true in the FPV Drone hobby.
