The MDS ethos and mindset does not resonate with everyone. That’s the point! I have taken countless shooting classes and courses, mostly pistol, carbine, active shooter, CCW scenarios, counter terrorism etc. and a few long-range courses. I had the opportunity to train with MDS in December 23 and in my opinion, their approach is better and more “Modern” than the rest. What they are doing is the next level in long range teaching and training. I am hopeful that this is the beginning of the end of old school firearms training/dogma.

I gotta say guys…it’s been really cool to see you and MDS progress and grow. I have noticed that no matter what the content; when people are honest and discuss their weaknesses and vulnerabilities it is so powerful! You guys are really good at that and I respect the hell out of you for it! Really enjoyed the last two podcasts with Mike L and then #100. Going to make it a priority to train with you guys in 24/25, hopefully can send some buddies to you as well!

New logo kinda looks like a bullet coming in with a lot of drop I can see the M and the D, but I can't see the S Looks cool. I'd rep it. Also, I think it's really shitty that somebody wants to copy your homework like that

Congratulations on the 100! I am thankful I found these podcast when I was working a job with a lot of windshield time. I’m a later in life hunter. My playground as a kid was the woods and forest of west wa. But I was in a navy family w/ everyone always on patrol for half the year and no hunting mentors. I started hunting and realized it was just like patrolling but more relaxing. It was all right of the Mississippi River so most of the areas I hunted in were mountains with thick veg or farms. Far shots were 200+, most of my deer I honestly could have taken cleanly with a pistol they were so close. Then I moved back out west and realized that I’m either going to have to become super sneaky to get closer or start from scratch, re work my fundamental, process and equipment. Thankfully I found this school, because you can really chase your tail with equipment etc. But more importantly it opened my eyes to things like mindfulness, intention, meditation and tons of other things you don’t necessarily equate with a shooting discipline. What other shooting school teaches you how to strengthen your mind & enrich your life in other areas which pour over into your performance with your tool? Did I mention they not only teach you how to safely use and care for it, they TEACH you how to build one from “scratch” properly for yourself. How cool is that?!?🤘

There is a massive difference between "training/instruction" and education. From my observations, Caylen and Phillip are true educators. The maturity, professionalism, and focus on tenets, principles, vision, values, and "mission" displayed by these experts in this podcast are remarkable in contrast to the bulk of guntube noise. I'm looking forward to attending MDS classes. Thank you both. “Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.” ~ often attributed to Elanor Roosevelt

I was in the second Arizona class, and I was blown away by the value of the intro course. I took it as a newbie to precision rifle, and we students were at a broad range of experience, with a variety of different gear. One of the best parts of the class was experiencing the increase in class skill, day after day. We all got better and learned. Having those 4 continuous days, beside just being awesome fun & info packed, gave me an opportunity to bond with my rifle in way that would be difficult to otherwise replicate.

It is a podcast about them looking back at how they have done things until today and it is amazing to listen how both Caylen and Phil are able to do such introspection in what they have achieved with so much humility and feet on the ground approach. A great episode! Not many are able to do what they have done, and this reward ain't free! They put a tremendous amount of work to help the long range shooting community grow! They are truly good and very proficient at what they do!

I just got tuned into you by a friend who is light years beyond me in competancy, when I expressed I was wanting to learn more. I am trying to be like a sponge and soak in as much as I can and use what works for me, but try as much as I can/afford. 100 Episodes is huge, thank you for all your information and trying to make us all better a little bit at a time. I will never be complete, as I am always willing to learn. Thanks from a Canadian shooter.
