Using all 3 models of EMR from Nitecore. EMR05, EMR06 and EMR40. Use the EMR06 for regular walks lasting 60-90 minutes. The EMR05 for activities ranging longer than 10 hours with the EMR40 standby for use together with EMR05 for mossie swarms (sometimes swarming in a cloud). With the TAC series, at 165C heating, the repellent pads should work better. Looking forward to trying it out later, in Malaysian Jungles

Hey chief, the EMR40 & EMR06 TAC both say they will heat up to 165c (I have my doubts) have you tried the EMR06 TAC ? I only want to buy one, trying to find which is the best out of these two.

@volcanic5187 if I were to go with one, it will be the EMR40. The heating area is almost 2x more than the EMR06. Furthermore, the color depletion of pads on the EMR40 is evident after use.

Hi MJ, just a recommendation. It would be great if Nitecore made a mosquito racket with a removable 21700 battery that can be paired with these EMR series. Imagine having both the defensive and offensive side against mosquitoes 😂.

I definitely need to give this a try, especially after using the Tiger Balm spray on my kids during zoo trips and playground visits. The spray gets sticky on their skin, and the patches on their shirts are even worse-sometimes I forget to remove them before washing, and all the clothes end up smelling like Tiger Balm insect repellent. I'd love to be selected as a winner for the free EMR to try it out!

I’ve used sprays and lotions most of my life when hiking or fishing; can’t say I like them, but they’re a godsend when swarming. In Korea, it was impossible to keep the mosquitoes out of our share house, so I’d plug in one of those blue pads almost every night post receiving 200+ bites the night before my very first day on the job ESL teaching. The only problem was remembering to change the pads (the mosquitoes would remind when I didn’t). The Japanese green mosquito coils work too, great for cabins and sitting on the patio, but too risky for tent use as they might accidentally burn a hole in the tent. I can really see me picking up the EMR05 for hiking and in tent use when eating. Ps. Please restock the Summit 10,000 & 20,000 power banks (or make a video for when a new updated Summit power bank comes out).

I typically just wear long sleeves and long jeans to avoid mosquito bites. The EMR looks like it would fit me most.

I have used deet based bug sprays. Usually works unless there is a lot of mosquitoes.....then they seem not to care. I live in Ontario Canada. We get a fair amount of mosquitoes.

It's the same concept of the repellent from where I am from but just portable. Is the fumes safe to inhale I wonder. Well we've been using it a lot before and I'm still alive. Using the lotion repellent and been kinda good, there's just a smell.

Looks like, I'm gonna upgrade my EMR06. That EMR30 looks like it would fit well in the desk/coffee table, though I'm not sure I would want to change the pads that often.
