Gamescom 2023 just happened and gave us trailers for Super Superstars and the Final Horizon DLC and gave us a LOT to talk about. So let's talk about it!

This is part of why i love the sonic world It doesnt really have a "theme" or a main genre around ut its more like what the developers found cool at the time making for this weird random planet full of crazy stuff and people from different backgrounds that somehow has 2 smaller planets inside of its atmosphere as well as a LOT of space bases

What stands out to me isn't just the cyan eyes on "Super Sonic 2", it's the lightning in his aura which is the identifiable feature of Super Saiyan 2. Just throwing that out there.

Even if we don’t get THE Mecha Sonic in this (which I hope we do) judging by the fact you can change the colors of the parts, you could probably make a pretty decent rendition of the robot by using a mixture of Mecha Sonic (Sonic 2) with parts from other machines like Metal Sonic (I assume metal sonic parts are in the game since we see a pair of arms that look incredibly similar to metals in the trailer, it would feel weird for him not to be represented if they’re including characters like Metal Knuckles.) (to that extent, for the one FNF fan who reads this, you can finally make Furnace Sonic in a Sonic game.)

Personally, I feel that the fact that Eggman can be treated as both a villain and an ally shows that the range of stories can be expanded without forcing him to be a villain, and he can even become an ally. It is safe because it can be explained as a bowser pattern that continues to reign as an adversary even if Or if Eggman sees metal sonic like his son as daniel barnes hoped, it would be nice to see newer stuff like metal tails and old metal series like metal knuckles back. If you think of sage as something like bowser jr, yeah It's just like koopalings Super Sonic's new form may be limited to frontiers, where Super Sonic is usually the boss, but I'm looking forward to it Or rather, Lego, isn't there a lot of Eggman-related stories in recent years? A daughter was born, I got his rap song, and in the comic he finally appeared as the main villain scenario. reigns as the main antagonist Well, this is irresistible for Eggman lovers

Maybe but It would be better if eggman was kept as the main antagonist for most of the games even if he doesn't play that big of a role. He should have been working together with Sonic the entire time to escape cyberspace in frontiers though

When Eggman teamed up in the Adventure games, it was because Chaos and the Finalhazard were planning on outright destroying the world. Can't rule a planet if there's no planet to rule.

I'd like to see eggman in supporting roles and other villains more often. The 6 kinda sucked but it's kind of stale seeing him for the zillionth time and some variety would be nice, and it allows him to get up to some more interesting stuff. I feel like if there's a little space between appearances it creates some more spice than if he's the villain absolutely every time.

The entire battle mode for superstars could make an episode or two of Mecha March madness with all the possible robot combinations you can make in combination to us finally having (at least a version of) Metal Tails & Amy in the games (as a sidenote, I like how the metal tails head gives a small reference to tails doll with it, having a red gem on his forehead. I doubt metal tails is Canon, but it makes it feel like this robot with an evolution of the tails doll.)

I’m overall more excited for Frontiers update 3 than Superstars since I’ve always preferred the 3D Sonic games to the 2D ones, but I’m still looking forward to both. They look very promising. I’m also interested in learning more about Cyber Super Sonic and what he’s capable of. Ultimately though, I’m just happy to see that the franchise is doing well again. It’s been a long time since Sonic was seen in a positive light and I’m hopeful for the future of the franchise. (Let’s just hope SEGA management doesn’t screw anything up and allows Sonic Team more time and resources for future installments.)

Lexx is a 90's to early 2000's sci-fi show that involved the titular Lexx, a world destroying capable ship (shaped like a Firefly without wings). Through the course of its story the ship finds it sway from one universe to another. It was thus, the most powerful ship in two universes.

My crazy idea for this new-ish super form stems from this: the new form has the eyes that only happen when you max out your rings and only lasts as long as you have max rings, something that would end in like one second given how super sonic works. So my crazy idea is that perhaps sonic has finally mastered the true power of the chaos emeralds, and no longer needs rings in order to sustain the form. Which could imply that the super sonic we’ve all known and loved was actually an incomplete form this entire time. Would be crazy if this was true!

i mean, Super Sonic needing rings is only a thing for us, the players, Sonic canonically doesn't need rings to sustain Super Sonic, heck in most Media the Rings either don't exist or aren't a defensive substance at all

I wanna throw out that if you max out your speed stat to lvl.99, then the powerboost becomes permanant, even if you are missing rings. (I think it's speed, it might be for maxing your ring cap)

Lexx is the name of a surreal scifi show from the 90s. It was an amazing show from back then, but didn't have nearly the fanbase of other shows of the time like Farscape or Babylon 5. The show is named for the ship the main characters are on, and the opening of one of the seasons includes that line, spoken by the Lexx itself.

I think the extra stuff is free because it’s meant to be for research purposes for the next adventure style game they’re planning. Think of it as more of modified playtesting period for future mechanics.

It's taken nearly a year since it's initial release- But, Sonic Frontiers has finally peaked my interest. Last mainline series title I'd even bothered to fully invest myself in was Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). As flawed as it was, it was truly the end of an era. As it was the last entry in the franchise to utilize the Adventure formula. As was it the last to contain a "Fnal Episode". I'm truly excited to see what this update has in store. And even more excited for what it means for the future of the franchise.

I LOVE that metal Amy has the same head shape as metal sonic like what they did with metal scourge back in the Archie comics. And yes I'm that much of a deep sonic fan. Also, LOVE your channel, you've been a huge insperation to me and I really appreciate it. Thank you. Also, I'm working on my own metal knuckles design, and I ALSO think it would make sense for Metal knuckles to uses his dreadlocks to fly, because it would mimic how regular knuckles flies, that being he traps the wind underneath his dreadlocks and therefore that helps him glide. Also I too don't like the fact that metal knuckles flies with a jetpack in his *ahem* butt, plus knuckles has a tail and that jet booty (yes that line was stolen from your video about the best sonic comic video you made a while ago) is in that tail's very place, thus why I think having jets at the end of his dreadlocks hakes sense, in terms of movement.
