I worked on the Arndale centre when it was being built in 1980, I've never been on a job where so many people where openly smoking weed, quite a few would come back pissed after lunch and carry on working up ladders and so on. Mental !

Great video, we love to see Eastbourne evolving and flourishing as a beautiful seaside destination. We have been very active in working within Eastbourne and East Sussex area, of which we have helped support local businesses. We hope that one day we have the opportunity to work within the new Eastbourne Arndale Centre.

Only 30 years too late. Don't expect a pat on the back for modernizing the britain so late. Folks have spent they're lives living in the crusty relics of yestayear. Terminus road doesn't look wide enough to provide such an expanse of paving? Surprised to see buses will still go down there, not fully pedestrian friendly as initially suggested. All good for visitors and affluent Eastbournians and pretty to look at for the rest of us.

Hope they improve on the toilets - at the moment they are horrible, smelly and you nearly always bump into someone trying to get to them - plus at the moment they only have one set at one end - they need to be in the middle or both ends. Looking at the video - I couldn't see any evidence of car parking - are they doing away with the car parking?

Agree about the toilets, they have a distinct and nasty smell, sign of inadequate cleaning and/or plumbing. As for parking they're going to add an extra 2 floors to the existing car park (300 more spaces).

Brighton has three cinemas, and when the Churchill square development is complete it will be a vast complex that connects to the new cinema that will replace the odeon,

Now built and mostly empty, it's an overpriced wind tunnel thats freezing cold. Needs a new coat of paint already, and the paving outside has puddles and obsticals to trip over as well a ugly weed infested flowerless beds. The amount of money put into this vanity project could of done away with the hated parking bay's and brought lots of trade to Eastbourne. Beautiful on paper, ugly in real life.

THE NEW CENTER LOOKS GOOD BUT STEP OUTSIDE ONTO THE NEW PRECINCT AND LOOK AT THE CRAP ALL OVER THE NEW PAVED STREETS AND THE NEW CRAP COVERED GLASS BUS SHELTERS . NICE. OH AND THE LITTLE GARDENS ARE LOOKING LIKE SWAMPS.

IMAX would certainly be an attraction for Eastbourne , but more shops for E/B ? many shops are struggling or closing as it is Where's the attractions to bring people in , certainly not the pier these days . Also it seems like a long way past the food hall and up just one escalator , where as there's free parking at the crumbles right outside the movie theatres Lastly are we paying to park , add that to the cost of going to a cinema

So far this is all a pipe dream, albeit a little closer to completion. I notice they don't show the incredible mess that's been made for years in the building of something that seems out of date and irrelevant already. Perhaps if this had been completed in 1998 it would have had more support then than I think it will get now.
