The Future of The Isle (Extended Version)

Context time! Note the edits are more my opinion than straight fact. - I may make it seem like Stegos should be fodder for Rexes, but I do think they should competently handle themselves. Rexes at least shouldn’t facetank Stegos. - Yes there are a lot of Ceratopsians planned. In order of size it goes Protoceratops, Avaceratops, Diabloceratops, Styracosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, and Triceratops, and of course the god Psittacosaurus (fr though that one is just AI smaller than Proto). - Teno is in a precarious spot being a small mid tier. There are a ton of carnivores bigger than it, and there are plenty of likely better options, like Maia. I do hope it remains stand out despite its size. - Ovi the little egg stealer. And also the “carebear” players worst enemy. - Along with the JP-style Omniraptor, a proper feathered Utahraptor is planned. Though there is little information on it currently, it is implied to be bigger and stronger than Omni. - Cama imo had one of the best redesigns/glowups with its new evrima model. - Alberto mains, aka edgy Allo mains. - Rugops (Vader short), is often rumored to be a human hunter. Though note this is little more than rumors currently. - Sauropods and Guns. Seriously what’s stopping human players from gunning down large slow dinosaurs? Should be addressed. - Monos special ability is scent marking other players. Likely a valuable trait for mixpackers as the Mono could easily keep track of prey, negating escape. They essentially become hunting dogs. Good thing or bad thing? Who knows. - I do think feathered Utahraptors could have a trait that is valuable against Barys specifically, that Omnis do not have. The only thing standout about teno is how people manage to play it despite its terrible stats. It’s just barely large enough in the current ecosystem that it can use superior numbers like a horde of ants to get by, and even then at least one herd member is basically guaranteed to die in each fight. Once the larger predators are in, with how horrible teno’s stamina is? It’s done for.

@@Bleghspread Uh the stamina that lasts barely two minutes. With cera and omni having at least as much stamina, if not more, or carnotaurus being so fast that it can cover more ground than teno could ever hope to. In short, teno already can't run away from the predators it has to deal with, and the larger ones they WON'T be able to fight will add enough pressure to finally push them past the breaking point.

Although I'm not sure how well Carno would do if they are similar size... but it could absolutely blitz with weight advantage. Unless they significantly change Rex stats from Legacy.

I feel like (and i don't mean this in a toxic way) most stego players are power tripping and lack actual skill, that's why when they actually get attacked by a confident group or solo player they don't know what to do with themselves. So when rex gets added and they are no longer the god of the isle most stego players will either switch to rex or more likely trike (though they will have a harder time due to actual competition), or try something new and get actual skills. but I do hope stego can hold its own against rex, maybe not in a 1v1 but it shouldn't be fodder.
