Thanks so much for the excellent video review it hit just about every single point. We went for a soft release of the Mamba so theres been dozens out there to provide feedback for refinement and thats been very beneficial. In the past we released new products straight out of the gate but this soft release process was so helpful to polish and tweak. That janky aim fix in Ghosts of Tabor was well worth mentioning as it makes a huge difference for all gunstocks not just ours. I would also recommend anyone watching to set wrist angle to +16 in that game too so the grab lines up well. Also you can change the lateral magnetic front dock angle slightly to better seat the rear stock position as its just a tiny bit out in Ghost imo. Also turn OFF physical gunstock in Ghosts of Tabor :)

The Blitzer was an interesting eg of this. We thought the tracking was 100% and it was, until someone decided to position their head in a slightly different way! So we improved it to compensate for this and ended up offering an upgrade kit for postage only. Whilst this was fine if would have been better for everyone if we had the benefit of this foresight and sorted this this 1st go. So yeah soft release ftw!

Hey kobra, just wanted to ask if the quest 3 version of the sidewinder is still being made? I remember Mara mentioning it was happening a while ago, and I’ve been keeping an eye out. We made the Mamba instead as we thought the adjustability was more needed. Mamba is way more suitable to be converted though so will look at making a mamba folder mod 👍

Aww thanks Bryan really appreciate the time and effort you put jn to testing this for us and a polished video. It is a fair point about reattaching the magnetic rear dock. As most people kno, Falan and I prefer a fixed rear so it was a trade off and we envisage most people just keeping it attached like we would, but the Mamba was all ablout options. We spent months refining it and is now in the store. Sadly, Falan has had flu, which has delayed the final few bits, like instruction video but that will be up this weekend ready for anyone who buys the stock, complete with Falan and his snotty nose. 🤧 PS: I saw an OG CQB make an appearance, I still see people sell variations on it all these years later, I even see variations on the good old N00btube! 😊

You guys do such amazing work and it's an honor for me to be able to share my thoughts and opinions and help in some small way with the development of your stocks. On the one hand I feel bad that it's taken me this long to get the video out; you guys sent me the Mamba back in August, but on the other hand it's been good because these past few months a lot of good feedback was given by myself and others and the Mamba has turned out to be a killer gun stock. One thing I didn't think to try with the Mamba until I was editing the video (perhaps I'm going to have to make a follow up video) is I'd like to take the Mamba into games like Arizona Sunshine, Into the Radius and The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, because I think it would work really nicely in those games. Those games don't behave like the pure shooters do, so using a gun stock in them always felt really clunky, so I just went with controllers only in those, but I feel like with the Mamba's hinge/elbow and the speed lock, it just may be the perfect gunstock for games like those?

That was pre production and we needed to iron out some things, add some polish and all little stuff like finding the correct nut, correct strength sprigs, all the other small detailed stuff that not everyone will realise goes in to making these things. If you or anyone does try out in other games we really like to know what works and what doesn't so we can be honest with potential buyers when asked.

Sweet! I hope you enjoy it! The Mamba is definitely my favorite stock Kobra VR has ever produced as of right now. That up and down hinge adjustment is SOOOOOO good! It makes switching weapons really quick and easy. You almost don't need to use in game gunstock calibration any more. It's awesome!

I think the velcro is to attach the grips to the controllers, not the grips to the body.

The velcro is to wrap around the trigger guard to keep the dock attached to the stock. There's a full trigger guard on the dock, but there is also a little trigger guard pieces on the stock, so you wrap the velcro around those locking them together.

Id love to buy this but for some reason im unable to find the Kobra grip straps, sling, or big stock on the store. When attempting to purchase all as a package, it makes me choose between all additional attachments including ones I don’t want, or only two. Not sure what to do

Kobra VR is very good about responding to messages. If you message them about what exactly you want, they can get it sorted for you. If you go to their Seller Details on Etsy you can message them on Etsy there. They typically answer the same day. Also if you use X (formerly Twitter) you can message them there @kobra_ vr and they'll get back to you fairly quickly.

How does this compare to the blitzer Also do you recommend the larger shoulder stock with cheek raiser?

The Blitzer is pure performance, its extremely lightweight and has no possibility of occlusion as all the hardware is below the tracking sensors. The Blitzer performs like a bottom mounted stock but with the balance of a top mounted. Whereas the Ultra is a full sim stock imo the Mamba is a cross over with sim and performance so its relatively lightweight, can be used attached to throw grenades or use pistols but has the option to fully remove both controllers. The Blitzer is permanently attached and despite unbeatable tracking and performance it looks almost nothing like a real pistol / rifle and that's just not something that a lot of players take to. We have a working upgrade for the Blitzer now that uses the speedlock system you see here in the Mamba and that turns the Blitzer into a really niche performance stock, that will hopefully be available soon along with a new feature that hasn't been seen yet.

I need to get a good gun stock..Im a gun guy,I own,upgrade and build custom guns.I think a good gun stock would add a lot of immersion.plus,as I get older my hands just aren’t as steady as they once were.being able to hold a gun in VR like an actual gun would help a lot with stability

Don’t know how old you are but I’m 46 and I have spinal arthritis, carpal tunnel and fibromyalgia. My hands are pretty useless most days. I was lucky enough to get a gunstock pretty much as soon as I got into VR. Tried a few shooting games a few times and the tension of trying to hold rifles without a stock was never going to allow me to play at all. I was really discouraged and disappointed. I highly recommend getting a stock and I very much recommend Kobra. I just got the Mamba but I started with an Ultralight and then a Wolverine DMR with the pump action shotgun module. I hope you can find something comfortable enough to keep playing, regardless of what you go with. Pst… you’re gonna wanna go with a Kobra.

@ I’m 41,I have arthritis in my hands,I have nerve damage and had a few seizures when I was younger.I haven’t had a seizure since my late 20s but my hands have been a bit shaky ever since and get worse as I get older.I can work with the the basic controllers but I’m sure a stock I can shoulder and use both hands would definitely be beneficial..sounds like you have good experience with several different gun stocks so take your recommendation and get the Kobra

Sadly we just dont get many requests that would justify it. We never just plug and play and expect stuff to work so it can take months to sort a stock out that we are comfortable selling. We operate like a restaurant with a small menu, you do a limited number of items but make sure each once is decent!🙃

I was wondering, did Kobras previous designs didn't have an alignment issues? All of your reviews did not mention that. Mamba has the adjustments and yeah, it metters. I like the Mamba. It's the best Kobra stock for sure. No longer it's a "glorified stick". It is officially a vr gunstock. Mr Falandorn is also a gamer (at least he was back in the days. We've been playing some pav). I guess once you go business, the gaming aspect fades away. The "quantity over quality" in vr stock market works in favor of the makers. Luckily the quality of Kobra's stocks is good. And luckily there is an improvement to the versatility.

I have been a fan of Kobra VR's gunstocks in the past but i think Wield VR's Onestock has moved the game forward more than any other gunstock. it is by far the best on the market currently.

How’s the reloading on the Wield with that tube along the entire bottom though. Seems really awkward. I reload an AK by knocking the mag out with a new one and using my left hand going UNDER and up the right side of the stock to pull the charging handle. I can’t imagine doing that realistically or fast (the entire point) with the Wield. I’ll stick with my Kobra VR Mamba. 🙂

No, the Mamba is currently for Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3 and Quest 3s only. KobraVR makes a stock called the Vader One for PSVR2, but last I checked they temporarily took it off their store. They will do that occasionally when they start getting more orders than they can keep up with. They don't want their customers to have to wait a super long time from the time they place their order until it finally ships. As a made to order company they don't keep stock on hand, but rather manufacture and assemble it after the order is placed. They say their stocks usually ship in 4 to 6 weeks, but often times it's quicker than that. They just don't want people to have to wait even longer than that, so sometimes they're temporarily pull stocks from their store to prevent more orders coming in than they can physically keep up with.

KobraVR does sell compatible grip straps with the Mamba for a small additional fee. It's one of the add on choices. @jyveturkey1894 when using the soft lock, you can tighten up the nut on the elbow where it's pretty stiff but there's just something satisfying about flipping the speed lock open, adjusting the stock, and then locking it back down.

3yrs ago i would be all over this but i still have the gunstock i made out of pvc pipes myself and then i bought a real one. I've used them like 10 times in total. These things are cool but the price of entry to play a game is never worth it. I have them all like handguns,beat saber handles,pong paddle, fishing rod, flight stick. None are pratical for every day use..

Hi the rear neoprene foam is very soft and lightweight and very comfortable, also if people prefer a larger rear stock with cheekrest if you watch at 8:45 you'll see that's an option.

@@KobraVROh wow! You could totally swap a Wolverine DMR rear stock onto the Mamba if you really wanted to! That’s what I always loved about the Wolverine: the modularity. Bloody brilliant! There’s really no need since the neoprene really is super comfy and the adjustability is already outstanding. It would add just a bit more in one way and take some away in another. Having the options though is great. In fact, I think I might be able to get the DMR pump action module on the Mamba. Hmmmmm… Frankenstock, here we go!
