Thanks for your continued dedication to the golf sim industry Roland. Just wanted to mention here that the Par2Pro screen you referred to around the 5 min mark is our previous screen called HQ. We have since moved to a new screen called SQ-W (Super Quiet Widescreen) which is a completely different screen. We have dedicate a lot of time custom-making this to be the best possible screen available. Looking forward to getting that in front of you whenever you have the opportunity.
@GarageGolf Жыл бұрын
Totally understand that. I will preface everything with the fact that I had that HQ screen for over 5 years and it held strong until the day I took it down. The only reason it came down was because I moved. I do not doubt the quality of Par2Pro's screens in any way. Hopefully one day down the road we can get a review in on your newer screen product.

Thank you so much for your video! It definitely helped me to make a final decision on what impact screen set up to go with. I’m going with the SIG10, due to my 13’3” width garage space. Not sure yet if I will go with the 4x10 or go 5x5. Love the idea of the softy but trying to make more room for the occasional lefty golfer. Bought a used TrackMan 4 which is coming later this week!

Great video and channel! One quick note on your driver - it looks like you're setting up very heel side. I only recently found out your driver should be centered on the sweetspot when you hover the club behind the ball, then you can drop it down to let it rest on the turf after that. It may look very toe side, but that's actually the correct alignment. Hope to help!

Excellent review - so seldom a reviewer will take the time to make a fair, balanced analysis that includes different pricing/quality options. I went with the DIY SIG10 which has a bit different size (8' x 10'6" x 5'). Well, once I received the actual documentation it turns out it is 8'4" high from floor to the top of the pole and it's actually closer to 10'10" in length measuring from the outside of the poles. OTOH if needed, one can always cut the EMT pipes to accommodate the room size - the part of the room with the enclosure is only 8'3" high. I was able to "snug" the bungee cords to pull up the slack when shortening the EMT pipes a bit, perhaps a nice option offering flexibility over the otherwise better poles you recommend... and much lighter as you pointed out. Happy trails.

Hi there!!! So I just bought the SIG10 enclosure with all the fixins :) I am very excited! However, I’m starting to have some concerns on the overall dimensions width wise. I see assembled width is 10ft 10 inches. My space is 11 ft on the dot. I should beable to squeeze it in there, but I’ve read posts stating it’s more like 11 Ft 7 inches wide assembled. What is true??! Thank you!!

Just measured mine. I got a total of 10 feet 11.5 inches of width. Not exactly the 10'10" but under 11' still. Would fit but might be tight.

If you have the room would you recommend the SIG12 or is there no reason to increase the size from the SIG10?
@GarageGolf29 күн бұрын
If I had the room I would have gone with the SIG12. Right now with Black Friday the difference in price is only $400.00 and you get an extra foot of height and width so it would be a more immersive experience in my opinion. I couldn't have done it in my space because it would have blocked my door going into the room. If you consider purchasing one reach out to me at roland@mygaragegolf.com. Need your help. I will be using the exact screen you have in this video. Is Optima GT2100HDR okay to use with this screen size. Or do you recommend some other unit. I assume you are aspect ratio 4:3.
@GarageGolf2 ай бұрын
Happy to help. So if you are using the SIG10 screen then the Optoma GT 2100 would have to be mounted exactly 6'8" away from the screen. I don't love Ultra Short throw projectors for that reason as it gives you zero flexibility with where you can place the projector as it lacks features like a zoom lens, corner correct, etc. If you haven't puchased a projector yet I would advise spending a bit more and going with something with additional features such as the BENQ AH700ST. I'll be doing a full review on that in the near future. Hey man, I’m getting ready to order an sig 10 or 12 and have a question. I’m putting my golf sim in my garage and went with the Mevo plus so that I could have right and left hand golfers. I’d like to save as much space as possible, but have enough width. Would an sig 12 give me enough width from the wall, or, would I still have to have a foot or so of right/left space to accommodate for both handed golfers? Also, do you have a discount code or anything so that I can help your channel out? Thanks, Will
@GarageGolf4 ай бұрын
Thanks for writing! The biggest question in regards to width is how wide it is in the area in which you are swinging the club. Sometimes you have more room with where you were swinging than you have for where you’re placing the enclosure. Ideally from the location you were swinging you want to have somewhere around 14 feet of width comfortably swinging from both sides without having to move the hitting zone. if you have that and you should be good. You have less than that the Mevo Plus does offer a little more flexibility within the swinging area for the hitting zone. When you go to check out, you can use our code GARAGE1 at checkout and it will credit your order to us as well as save you a small discount on the order as well. Please reach out with any other questions. Thanks again!

May I ask are lefties hitting from this setup in your video? I see you are setup on center for it, but does the wall impact driver swing without offsetting?
@GarageGolf2 ай бұрын
@@mjmurphy53711608 Great question. In this setup honestly it really is only meant for right handed golfers because a lefty would hit the wall behind them with their follow-through. With most setups as with everything I normally recommend about 14 to 15 feet of width for a Center hitting mat or Center hitting strip. The space there is closer to about 12 feet so you could potentially swing an iron, I don’t think you could get away with driver with that little bit of width.

@GarageGolf7 ай бұрын
I am using the Panasonic VMZ51U Projector you can find here: mygaragegolf.com/product/panasonic-vmz51u-laser-golf-simulator-projector/ I have it mounted about 13 feet away. The best advice depending on your projector is to move it back to make the image larger where it covers the entire screen. If you projector has corner correct, you can use it to shrink the sides down back to within the screen size. You have to cover the height and then shrink the width down, that's the only real way to do it. In order to accomplish this you must have a projector with corner correct feature however. Ultra Short throw projectors will not have this feature typically.
@alec71007 ай бұрын
Thanks for the quick reply! That is very helpful. I’ll try that and explore the projector you’re using otherwise. One last thing, what is your floor to projector measurement? By floor, I am referring to the base of the enclosure itself so probably your putting green to projector measurement
@GarageGolf7 ай бұрын
@@alec7100 About 9 feet or so. You typically want to mount your projector about the top part of the enclosure in regards to matching that height. I have a drop down pole for mine. The more you have to tilt the projector at an angle the more likely you develop keystone issues.

Well me personally I use whatever I can get on the course but I totally understand your point.
