I MISSED SOME THINGS: - SIG has commercial enclosures that can be made to custom sizes AND the screen goes all the way to the floor. See link below. - SIG's standard SIGPro enclosures (the one I have and talked about in the video) can't be customized but their DIY version can be. See link below. - SIG recommends a hand steamer for removing wrinkles in the screen 🔥 Indoor Golf Shop Commercial Enclosures: friendlygolfer.com/recommends/sig-commercial-enclosures/ Indoor Golf Shop DIY Enclosure: friendlygolfer.com/recommends/sig-diy-enclosure/ Indoor Golf Shop Custom Size Request: friendlygolfer.com/recommends/sig-customization/ ⭐Carl's Place C-Series Enclosures: friendlygolfer.com/recommends/carls-place-diy-enclosures/

Price comparison would be helpful. I know I can look it up myself, but is still valuable content and keeps me on KZbin rather than going surfing. Thank you.

I understand. I left it out because the prices could change (SIG is often on sale) and I didn’t want to put something in the video that doesn’t stay accurate over time. I probably could have just said that though. Thanks for the feedback!

Recently bought the Sig10 enclosure package with the Eye Mini Lite! Still finishing the basement but can’t wait to get everything setup! I appreciate your review of both!

I have the C series and love it. Definitely an upgrade over the old version. Really want to do the new built in version when we finish renovating the house.

I was curious about that option too. Maybe one day when we move...

Great Video, Just curious if you also bought your projector from one of them and if so which projector do you recommend?
@friendly_golferАй бұрын
I've bought projectors from both of them. It really depends on your budget and if you're going 1080 vs 4K. All of my projectors have been BenQ and they've been solid. I've used TH670ST, AH700ST, and TK710STI.

Thanks so much for this video. Really helpful. I have the same problem with the corners as you do. I have to have my mat offset to the right and as a result shanks hit the corner right where the screen and side panel meets. The setup I have from Allsportsytems is horrific and is all shredded there now so I need a new enclosure. Now that it’s been a few more weeks in since the video, are you still seeing that corner well protected using the SIG Pro? I’m still not quite sure why it offers more protection than the Carl’s Place one.
@friendly_golfer2 ай бұрын
Yes, I haven’t had any balls (shanks) get behind the sig screen at all. The carls corners are flaps (maybe nylon?) that open in the direction a golf ball would hit it. The SIG uses felt covered foam to cover the edges. I guess it works because the foam is solid vs just a flap.

I have the SIG Pro. Went with the DIY option. I wanted the aluminum piping but couldn’t justify the extra cost. I’m a Carl’s Place fan as well. Both have great customer service..
@friendly_golfer4 ай бұрын
Yup. For most people the assembly and weight is not going to make much of a difference. Both are easy to set up.

Have you done any thing with the retractable G-track?
@friendly_golfer26 күн бұрын
Nope. My garage door wouldn’t work with it and I tried a few other friends houses but couldn’t find a space that it would work.

How's it going...any experience with the Carl's Pro Enclosure? Thanks.
@friendly_golfer4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately no, just the C-Series.
@ppierpont4 ай бұрын
Do either one or both of the companies offer an enclosure that allows the projector to be mounted on an extension from the enclosure itself? Like for spaces without an easy overhead mount option (such as high or unfinished ceilings). I’ve seen that somewhere but can’t find it.
@friendly_golfer3 ай бұрын
Both Carl's and Indoor Golf Shop can mount a projector to their Commercial enclosures but it's going to depend on the throw ratio of the projector. Options might be limited.

You can find it on allsportsystem

Sigpro edge protection leaves black marks on balls video not over yet so maybe you will say it but it is one of my pet peaves i dont hit it very often when i do it makes such a mark that can transfer to the screen if you do not clean the ball
@friendly_golfer2 ай бұрын
I haven't experienced that at all. The edge protection that Velcros on around the screen?
@Par2Pixel2 ай бұрын
@@friendly_golfer Yes the felt material every time the ball hits it there is a big black mark on the ball

What are folks doing, for example in their garage to secure the frame to the wall? Surely the weight of the screen/enclosure wouldn't be secure just standing there or is it?!
@friendly_golfer2 ай бұрын
It is meant to be freestanding. When they are all put together they are pretty stable.

What is the difference between the carls place c series and pro series?
@friendly_golfer4 ай бұрын
The pro is made for 2" EMT pipe instead of 1". It allows for some bigger sizes and deeper sidewalls.
@doctorpd19592 ай бұрын
Which one is quieter?
@friendly_golfer2 ай бұрын
I don't think there's really a difference, or at least I can't remember one. I do think the ones from Carl's Place would squeak a little from the pipe connections when hit hard.
@Nctickets4 ай бұрын
I personally think for someone with kids the SigPro might edge out the Carls Place. My 10 and 12 year olds like to play on the sim and I like the padding the SigPro provided.
@friendly_golfer4 ай бұрын
I could see that. It's very secure.
@SD619Native2 ай бұрын
Little confused with your video. An “apples to apples” comparison would have been the SIG Pro to a Carl’s Place Pro or a SIG DIY to a Carl’s Place non-Pro. Of note, I was able to get The Indoor Golf Shop to send me their side/ceiling panel material. The material is different between Pro and DIY. Pro is what you described and the DIY was a nylon-ish material and felt cheap in my opinion. Carl’s Place would not send me samples, but I’ve seen their original Pro-Series at a local golf instructor’s studio. It was very smooth, appeared durable, and had a little stretch.

Curious is this is true…is the enclosure reviewed from The Indoor Shop the Pro version? Not the DIY?

Great info guy, thanks! I was split and actually leaning toward Carl's until I just saw SIG's Black Friday deals. Grabbed a SIG10 on sale with an additional $250 off with code GSV250 🤩. I am anal like you with the straight edges, but for that price I'm gonna deal with it!! keep up the good work.

I've owned the carls place c-series for about a year and played it alot. I bought the premium screen. The golf balls leaves marks on the screen. Almost burning it on from the spin (looks horrible) I have also put a hole on the bottom of the screen where you tighten that wire with a thined 3 wood. The screens are junk!
@chezchezchezchezАй бұрын
So what's next? u find a quality screen?
@sharpe6057461Ай бұрын
As of right now I put up with the marks as the cost is high for that premium screen. The plan is to get one custom made at local shop with better material.
