I think they are so concerned with trying to redeem themselves from the backlash they faced in MW2 and WZ2.0 plus the need to spam pay cosmetics that they just rush things out. I like the skin, don't get me wrong, but once it was identified as an issue I stopped using it and I won't go back until it's fixed. They could just fill in the whole body with the green glow that spawn has in his eyes... Then people will complain it's too bright. There is no winning LOL.

If you had the gaia skin equipped already, you should be able to use it still in mw3, same as the nickmercs skin situation in mw2

Difference is the nickmerks and Tim skins were only removed from the store not the game. Anyone who purchased can use those skins freely. Sledge hammer has determined this skin to be an issue so they have temporarily removed it but have committed to bringing it back once fixed.

They changed the LA skin you had to pay for because they said it was like the Rose skin from the prior title. No refunds. Then went on to make every other skin black on black, on slate black, with minimal color changing highlights. I only play warzone, and every other team is dick holding, wearing groot skins, and on for 12 hour shifts daily.

Well you'll be happy that they removed this skin prior to the new map coming in a few days! At least the groot skin wasn't as bad in WZ plus I've heard, not personally noticed, that the hitbox in MWIII was messed up and smaller. Idk if that's true or not. I remember when the LA thieves thing happened. Seems we have this every few seasons. Rose, LA thieves, that tribal skin in WZ1 that made you invisible outside a specific distance, black noir, and now this one.

Preach! I will admit the aweful spawn camping really brings the OG MW2 days back. I remember that was the whole goal of the game... At least for my friends and I. But man does it feel worse in this game. Maybe I'm just old now 🤣

So what happens if you spent a token on this skin in the battlepass? Will it be refunded?

They are bringing the skin back once they make the cosmetic fixes. ALL battle pass tokens are used at the end of season if they were earned in season. Earned tokens do not carry over so won't be refunded. And because the skin is just temporarily removed, there is no reason to refund the token.

It's legal because you agreed to the terms and conditions when engaging in commerce with call of duty. They wouldn't do it if it wasn't legal a big company like Activision is not stupid. The skin is broken, it's removed till it's fixed. If you want to use it play MW2 multiplayer idk what to tell ya 🤷‍♂️

I've genuinely never had an issue seeing the Gaia skin, and my eyesight is HORRIBLE, like "I need glasses to clearly see anything over 6 inches away" horrible, so ya'll have no excuse there tbh. Is everyone just bad or mad they couldn't afford it? I genuinely can't tell cuz visibility isn't an issue right now.

Reportedly the visibility on the Gaia skin was dramatically less than the other skins. Especially in darker areas, they had the same problem with warzone and MW2 when the skin first launched but was able to correct it so idk 🤷‍♂️ obviously call of duty felt it was enough to remove the skin 🤷‍♂️ or the big creators were loud enough 😂

Unless they get the cosmetics of it fixed before tomorrows launch of the new warzone map then I believe it will be removed during the assimilation. If they get it fixed they may re-launch it for tomorrow. None of the above is confirmed just my speculation based on previous game change overs and assimilations.

Obviously COD does not agree with you. Otherwise, they would not have removed the skin. I have been hearing rumours about the hitbox being smaller on the skin but nothing has been confirmed. There was that skin in Warzone that made you invisible if you were outside of 50 feet 🤷‍♂

It was a battlepass skin. Much more content than thst one skkin and variation was provided in the battlepass. The skin will be brought back we just don't know l when. No talks of refunds have been made from what I've seen.
