You are absolutely right, but it’s mostly iron, cause the chemical needed to form the metal was only in the Tartorous Arc, so he only did it one time. Therefore, they should have just put iron, or at least iron and metal. Iron has to at least be included in the comment. Same thing with Laxus because he is called a LIGHTNING dragon slayer, and not an ELECTRIC dragon slayer. They should’ve added lightning a least.

i think Gajeel is secretly Mashima's golden boy. almost on every arc since he joined fairy tail, Gajeel will always be the one who save the entire guild. dunno why, lol. without him, the guild is already long gone. edolas, tournament, tartaros, Alvarez, 100 year quest, name every arc, Gajeel will always be the savior, or at least have a huge impact on saving the guild

People under look this fight for no reason, gajeel knew rogue when he was a kid, that’s why at first he said that rogue was wasting his time, he didn’t wanna hurt him. Then when rogue gets taken over we learn how they were sworn brothers and now gajeel absorbs the shadows. Gajeel did what he had to do to save someone he cared about, just like how he’s absorbed so much for levy

Natsu and Gajeel did use those modes in the Tartaros arc. As for later, I can't speak for Gajeel but had his Fire Dragon King mode which is arguable stronger. Sure it's not as strong as it was when he had the last of Igneel's power, but it's still capable of immense power without it.

I didn't get how this works, honestly. Natsu once absorbed Laxus's magic and then finds out he now has Fire-Thunder dragon mode. Gajil absorbed shadow magic and used it only once. Yeah, he used it second time in the final arc, but he had to absorb shadow magic again from his enemy
