I bought this for reading small text: e-textbooks, PDFs, and digital comic books. For this, the Tab S7+ is an absolute dream. Definitely try reading a digital comic or a web comic on this to see what I'm talking about. I tried the 120 Hz display. As with the S20, 120 Hz looks good, but I would much rather have the extra battery. The display is great for streaming video on Netflix, Disney+, etc., but one problem is that most of those services don't offer qHD for Android devices, so you're stuck with 1080p in most cases. KZbin is one of the exceptions that offers qHD on Android. For the record, HBO Max doesn't offer anything above 1080p on any platform, so you're not missing anything there. All in all, this was worth every penny to me. I bought it for reading small text, and it's an absolutely amazing device in that regard.

This is a great video, but the only thing I just don't get is the comment at the end about the price point where someone says, you can just get a laptop. The whole point of a tablet is form factor, something super light you can easily hold in your hands on any sitting surface, laying on your back, at the beach, at a coffee house, etc. A laptop has a completely different form factor. That is why the Microsoft Surface has a detachable screen, because people do have a use case that only a tablet gives. So we can agree that the price might be too high, but to just say one can just get a laptop is just not understanding why so many still love tablets.

I really hate that people have given up on Android tablets. This is a premium device that is priced competitively with the iPad Pro. It has the best display you will find on a tablet and is using the current flagship processor from Qualcomm. The quad-speaker setup tuned by AKG that is only going to be rivaled by an Apple product. The S-Pen is included in the box and the latency has been reduced to 9ms. The keyboard case is priced similarly to Apple's keyboard folio. There is also a 50% off promo for it, making it much more appealing. Samsung is supporting this device with 3 major OS updates and 2 additional years of security patches. This means you will get 5 years out of this device. The Tab S7+ is getting a bunch of pro apps like Clip Studio and Krita, (just to name a few big ones) which will keep plenty of artists happy. DeX might be a gimmick for some, and it also might be buggy, but there is a pretty strong cult following that wants this to replace their Windows machine. Fortnite is on the Galaxy Store and this should not be ignored either because this created excessive demand. This tablet is also going to crush every game on the Play Store. This channel is always looking at devices like these specifically for emulation and you will not find a better experience on another Android device here either. I can understand why ETA Prime would say it's not worth the price because good gaming experiences can be had on much lower end hardware for much less money. That's unfair though because it's striving to be much more than an emulation slab. This is a fantastic device for work, school, and play.

My rule of thumb for flagship tablets is that the newest model is not worth the money, but the previous model is. You can pick up Tab S4's for well under $300 and S6's for well under $500. It is incredibly hard to justify any tablet costing gaming laptop money. Of course, this all depends on an individual's needs and use case. Also worth noting is that people can spend their own money however they want. $1,000 tablets to watch KZbin. Sure. It's their money.

@@jjss3055 I get the sentiment, but I have a surface Pro 7 with i5 and just got one of these tablets. Right now I'd rather do just about anything on this tablet than the Surface because the battery life on the Pro 7 is atrocious. I take a lot of hand written notes with onenote. If I'm in a 1 hour meeting and taking notes the whole time, when I get done I have lost 30% plus on my surface. It makes me afraid to use it when I know I won't have a chance to charge etc. Form factor, weight, battery life, and performance make this a legitimate laptop replacement for many people I think. I work in IT and can do most of my work with this, especially with dex and mouse support. When I need windows I can RDP into my desktop. The price will put a lot of people off though. The portable gameplay just ups the ante even more.

@@jjss3055 You can't directly compare laptops to tablets, as they offer different functionality, portability, and use cases, so pricing is irrelevant. There are a number of things you can do with a tablet that you can't do with a laptop. This should be compared with other tablets and phones with similar internal hardware, not laptops.

@@ccarr1025 Very well said man! DeX is a major reason why I'm thinking about eventually replacing my Surface Pro with the Galaxy Tab S line. Really been loving the functionality on my 2017 Note 8. But I want Samsung to first do the following: - *Bring* *Back* *Linux* *on* *DeX!* Or better yet, enable the native installation and running of Linux Desktop apps in DeX mode. It makes much more sense for this kind of form factor and would be a great gateway for full-fledged Desktop apps on the Galaxy Tab line. Plus, as Apple demonstrated the full-fledged macOS Big Sur running on their 2 years old A12Z Bionic chipset from their iPad Pro line during their WWDC 2020 keynote, Linux on DeX will certainly be required to compete with that level of versatility. - Add a second USB C port or full-sized USB A port for USB accessories while charging. - Add a 3.5mm headphone jack for use while in flights or while our wireless headphones are charging. - Make the keyboard cover accessory backlit and add angular typing like the Surface Pro line. - Equip it with 16GB of RAM If they implement all of the above, it'll be the first Android tablet I'll ever purchase, and will proudly replace my Surface Pro with it. My once in a blue-moon need for Windows applications will be perfectly served by my QNAP NAS. That need will only be shrinking as devs make their Android apps big-screen friendly, and port over their full-fledged Windows apps; literally NOTHING Windows can do, can't be replicated, and possibly made even more versatile on Android. Until then, sticking with my Surface Pro 2.

The great thing about this model is it has officially teamed up with Microsoft and of course Google play. With the pro level art apps now available (formerly reserved for desktops and a few only for Apple🤮. Apple still only holding onto its Procreate) for this tablet, creatives now have the ability to take their work on the go, with a decent medium to do their work. I nearly buckled and almost went for the iPad pro, which would have required the 150 to purchase the pen on top of the already 200 to 300 dollars more in cost. So I was absolutely relieved when the 7 plus hit. Bought both my son's the 256 S7 models and treated myself to the 256 S7 plus model.

It absolutely shows off the amazing AMOLED screen and if you pay for the pro version you can have all kinds of cool stuff to show viewers screen quality etc. Record in low light settings for best results.

Nice review. Please verify if the device could be connected to a 4K monitor using a Type-C/Thunderbolt3 cable to a Type-C monitor, and run the display output to the monitor in wired Dex mode at full 4K resolution. I know that in the past, the external monitor support in the older tablets with wired Dex mode was restricted to 1080p or 1440p at best, which was disappointing.

If I am looking for something to be thin a light with excellent battery life for when I travel, I'd much rather use this than a comparable windows laptop. For $700, could you find a laptop with that awesome 120hz screen, great battery life, and thin profile? Even if you get a thin $700 laptop, it will compromise something, and it DEFINITELY won't be running emulators like dolphin. As for work, I have to connect to a server and use VMware anyway, so it doesn't matter that it doesn't run windows, as long as there is VMware or citrix. I have a feeling many people these days work in a similar way, so why get a laptop?

Why does this only have a maximum of 8GB RAM? Even Samsung's smartphones have more RAM than this tablet but I think a larger tablet should have access to greater power and thus RAM.
@alerey43634 жыл бұрын
Probably because it's DDR5 and the cost would be sky high (as it is right now about $650); but bear in mind that in the ARM architecture 6 or 8GB or rams goes a long way
@mingyi4564 жыл бұрын
@@alerey4363 Well they can simply increase the price much more than it is right now. This current price is a lot lower than the S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra and they both have either 12 or 16 GB of RAM (not sure if it is LPDDR5). They should have enough room to give 12 GB if they increase the price to a comparable range with their flagship smartphones. I just think it is absurd a tablet has less RAM than a smartphone considering users are way more likely to do serious/heavy work on the tablet.
