My father and grandfather, both born in England, used to sing this song to me as a child whilst bouncing me on their knee. Fondest memories and can’t believe I’m hearing this song again.

My recently deceased grandad would sing it to my children while bouncing them on his knee. I fully intend to keep this tradition alive 🙂

Well of course, before it was Collins’ Barracks, it was Victoria Barracks. When we had the Empire, Karachi, The Punjab, Falkland Islands, Ballet tack tieks. I was in the Army. Cavalry of course. Came here to listen to the song my English grandfather bounced me on his knee too. So i guess all english kids had this experience 😅😂
