This year, none of the main candidates stole my heart in any particular way, and what's more, in Europe the gala lasts until three or four in the morning on working days, so I'll definitely skip it and watch some summary. As for the gala itself, there are a lot of unnecessary categories and I miss some that appreciate the artistry of creators from a more technical perspective - such as great optimization, impossible ports, technical achievements of the year, fantastic physics, etc. - this is a key aspect of games and is somehow overlooked - programmers, 3D artists, etc. . should also be appreciated for their hard work

There is going to be A LOT of competition next year, just so you know. GTA6, MH Wilds, Doom the Dark Ages, DS2, Metroid Prime 4, maybe Fable, maybe Perfect Dark, maybe Blade, Avowed, Expedition 33, South of Midnight, Hades 2 and so much more.

Finally see something about an Oblivion remake would be amazing. I bought my surround sound system I'm still using today when it came out on the 360 back in the day. I was so hyped after Morrowind on the PC. Sadly I never really got into Skyrim like i'd hope. The frozen landscapes and small samey towns just didn't do it for me.

I don't think it makes sense for DLC to get nominated in a category that that game has already won. So, Shadow of the Erdtree shouldn't be eligible in a category unless Elden Ring had already lost that award or wasn't nominated for it last year. Same for Multiversus; it should be eligible for any award except for Fighting Game of the Year.

Great show Nate and mvg. I agree with your predictions on Nintendo mostly and the 3rd party stuff. Don’t know and don’t care about the Xbox and indie stuff 😂 and care only a little about PlayStation. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo doesn’t show anything at all besides maybe that sizzle reel. Nintendo of America will be present but I highly doubt any big Nintendo of japan(the main branch of course) will show up at the game awards. For Atlus, I do think that persona 5 mobile game will be there and that’s it. Square will be hard to predict this year, there was rumors of a final fantasy 13 remaster or collection. There is also a fresh rumor of a live a live 2 being in development as of this year. Would be cool to see that announced though I highly doubt it will be here in game awards. Well I don’t even watch the show live anyway. They pretty much all suck overall for me. But I will still always check out the highlights. There might be something there I will like. Maybe 😂 For game of the year, I don’t think final fantasy rebirth has no chance like mvg said. It’s a great game that can stand up to other titles. I don’t want to see elden ring dlc win personally but I don’t care that much but I know other people will go ballistic if it wins 😅. Metaphor is extremely good and I think has a small chance of winning but since it’s a Geoff show, it won’t likely win at all. Only game on that award category I don’t think deserves to win at all is balatro. I think it’s overrated in my opinion and I don’t even know how it got there but that’s just my opinion. Again great show guys. Let’s see what predictions come true.

Let’s be honest the games awards is an awards show in name only . It is political in the sense of fans views are barely recognised. It is just like a 3 hour show full of ads and announcements.
