“Allowed” isn’t fair because the contract NASCAR has states they have to release a game every year. I’m sure they did the best they could in a shortened timeframe. Now if the next game is just as bad at launch after they’ve already worked in a different engine, then I’d say we’ve got a problem. They need to give the rights to either code masters or Turn 10 studios

This game has much bigger problems than just the bugs and glitches. The game design is severely flawed, even if they fixed every unintended bug, you still end up with a game with: No mirrors No private lobbies Meaningless career where contracts have ZERO impact, car choice has no performance difference, and you don't have anything that immerses you into feeling anything outside of role playing as an existing Nascar driver. Your name doesn't even appear on the car. Worst of all, is the AI, which is something the entire community AGREED would make or break this game. This AI is almost as bad as Eutechnyx's AI, which is unacceptable. There are many things that show potential, but potential just means it doesn't deliver on a finished goal. The graphics and driving physics are the highlights of this game, which is why many people are actually enjoying some of the online racing. I would love to keep trying this game, but my gas pedal doesn't work, and i don't have the time to deal with it. I'll wait for a patch to resolve that issue, and i'll try it again, but there is nothing i can see outside of a dramatic restructuring of the AI that will save this game.

The main reason is that this game was made by the developers of RFactor 2. They do physics well, but they never made any single-player game to play through. This is a fundamental mistake.

The only thing that seems to make sense with this game is the graphical detail and driving. Even elements such as the rating system, pit sequences, and the difficulty are terribly broken. Depending on the track, the difficulty fluctuates rapidly. Some are easier to compete with the A.I. drivers, and others you stand no chance and get lapped by the field. Turning the difficulty down just makes it too easy (except when you have no car stability and spin out no matter how much you ease up on the throttle at certain tracks). It’s widely imbalanced and something they probably won’t fix.

I deal with the tire getting cut down after every wreck that throws the caution. It’s busted. Not only are the pit times so long, it’s legit a game ending bug. Either you wreck during the restart, or you get a flat tire. Oh and the loop of not actually getting to pit after. I’ve legit just wrecked to get a DNF each time. Because it always happened half way through the race. This game has a lot of work to be done.

The best thing about this game is that I was able to get Heat 5 will all DLC for $12. Ignition looks genuinely unplayable, which is disappointing since they seemed to have actually wanted to make a good game. They just spent too much time on the wrong things. I don't know how they can salvage this, short of making the next game free for anyone who purchased this one at full price.

I've been a huge NASCAR game fan since N-64 days... To be perfectly honest... As crude as N64 days were... It has more character and charisma than Ignition. This is the worst game I have ever waisted $80 on... It's a major... major gutted down-step slap in the face coming off from NASCAR heat 5!!! If I was any one in Nascar... I'd be very insulted by the lack of effort they put into this. Forza Horizon has better physics and graphics and character than this... I think the speed is too quick and the tire wear isn't strong enough to real Atlanta, but NH4/5 Atlanra had a great feel to it. Always felt like I was sideways and on edge. One of my favorite online moments was a 1 v 1 with some random dude online where we traded the lead several times and cleanly raced 2 wide in the corners!

If a developer is so limited because of NASCAR licensing, maybe they should develop a solid stock car game with a nice graphic engine. They could take their time developing the AI and physics. Put in a good paint shop and online play. It can be NASCAR "likeness", but not limited to the current year of the sport. I would love for them to add in the Generation 3: 1981-1991 type cars. Or plan B, make iracing console edition. The new x box and Playstation can easily handle it.

Lmaooooo Radman finally experiencing a small fraction of the frustrations PS4 players have 🤣🤣🤣 Also on these wonky restarts, I don’t even accelerate, I’m on the brakes. Even if u don’t hit someone on a restart, ur tire automatically cuts down. Pit stops are a joke because u lose 5 seconds after u get in ur stall before they even work on ur car and another 8 seconds after they finish when ur car just SITS there. It’s impossible to gain spots on pit road. U also always restart at the back, while the field is already wrecked 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Pit stops, cautions, and restarts are the absolute worst bugs in this game. Yes there’s only been 2 patches so far but these should have been the first things to get patched. Also, anyone notice how u can practically run full throttle at Pocono? It’s supposed to be a braking track yet the only times u need to brake is in dirty air or on old tires

Another problem I see with this game is that there doesn't seem to be any actual difficulty. You either race around everyone else or they race around you. It doesn't feel like you're competing with them or them with you, depending on how low or high you set it. That needs to be fixed as well. It should be challenging while still possible to improve throughout a race enough to pass more cars.

Atlanta is broken. Anytime a tire goes down and pit for tires, tires don't get changed (this is for all tracks). Only good thing is that you can have more than one tire down, which was limited to one tire only in previous games

Probably better off turning damage off until they fix it. So you don't immediately wreck after a yellow. Keep tire wear on. Some tracks seem buggy other tracks are ok for me. On the Xbox the tablet used to work but stopped working on the latest patch.

I quite literally had almost the exact same experience as you had here when I played it for the first time this morning. Like, I knew the game had some issues and you highlighted them very well thus far but man was I shocked at just how bad my initial impression was from the get go. No matter how much I tweaked the controls, every car on every track handled like shit and it was impossible to clear ten laps without getting just absolutely wrecked right off the bat. Even on the lower difficulty, the AI is hella aggressive just straight up wreck my shit on laps 1 or 2 forcing me to pit if I can even make it into pit road which I couldn’t do either most of the time. And same issues with the chaos after the caution flag. Yikes. Just yikes. 😬

@@truckercowboyed2638 I don’t think it’s that as much as it’s the insanely bad AI, the horrendous spotter which doesn’t tell you accurate info half of the time, the broken caution and restart system, or the fact that sometimes the car breaks and you can’t accelerate over 60 mph. I’m not saying without assists the cars aren’t harder to drive than the heat games, they are but that’s not the main reason why career is unplayable

Online is pretty flawed too. No penalties, trolls can drive around backwards without limitations, and there are no private lobbies.

@@racingkid39YT true, but the racing itself is actually really fun. in my opinion If they’re not gonna fix the backwards driving then they should just shorten the races. Decreases the chances of someone getting their feelings hurt and deciding to go backwards

I don't know what game you're talking about but when I play heat4 there are bumps at tracks like Atlanta and Auto Club. California is so obvious driving down the back street l stretch looks just like an actual onboard shot from TV.

‘21 makes NR2003 that much easier to appreciate for what it is. Next Gen mod on the way as well.
