I 100% agree and I've heard this from many others. I saw this shot with my dad and my brother and my jaw absolutely dropped. I had never seen a shot like it before taken with such confidence from such a distance with a timeout still remaining. I agree with you that he is one of the most entertaining players to watch. In terms of that "Wow" factor, he is like the modern day Kobe Bryant (RIP) in the way he makes impossible looking shots look easy (not comparing them as players or types of shots taken). That doesn't equate to overall better player though. Lebron is an extremely athletic and a fundamentally sound beast that can just do more on both sides and while he is not as exciting to watch, any person who knows basketball and wants to win would take lebron over steph any day of the week.
