Most the peppers I grow are Capsicum which contain capsaicin. Helps control blood pressure, digestion, brain function and weight. Radish tea: 1 whole radish, 1 inch of cayenne pepper, a thumb of dry ginger/1-1/2 tablespoon to 1 cup of water. Blend to a pulp, add to a pot and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add lid to steep for 15 minutes. Strain…. Add 1/4 fresh squeezed lemon juice and your liking of honey. I drink it at least once a week and every day if I’m feeling achy until feeling better.

Okay ☺️Obviously someone who knows the family. Who is this and thank you. “True story”…. My granddad used to have a red toolbox and as a kid I used to take his tools from it a never return them. He would get so mad. As he aged and his memory started to slip, I was in high school he would stop me and say, “you got my tools”…. I use that saying as a metaphor when talking to my son. Everything experience in my life that I have belongs in the toolbox to be used when needed. “You got my tools” 🧰 Anything that I do and reminds someone of him is a compliment to me. 🙏🏽

Try starting peppers inside in January on a heat mat. I transplant to 32oz cups which allows me to grow longer inside. By the time the weather permits my peppers are producing fruit when transplanted into the garden. I’m harvesting peppers before the extreme summer heat. By harvesting before the heat you are taking a lot of stress off the plant during the summer heat. As soon as temperatures start to drop you will have a 2nd flush of peppers that ripen extremely fast because the plant started in January is mature and stronger. Just try a few plants and you’ll see a noticeable difference for the better.

What zone are you in? I am in zone 9A. That Ph-level tip you dropped was Gold! I'm very interested in this. Very nice groceries and presentation! Shalom
@growingouttheboxАй бұрын
I’m in Georgia zone 8A. Yes, the pH of your soil is the canvas for what your garden will look like as it matures. While the pH scale is 0 to 14 with 7 being neutral…. just 1 numbers up or down represents 10x exponentially more or less Hydrogen of what your plant needs from the soil. pH represents “portions, parts or percentage of Hydrogen ions” in your soil. Hydrogen is acidic. So if you soils pH is a 5 and your plants need a 7, that’s 100Xs out of range. Or 100Xs more or less acidic. This is where it’s possible to poison your plants with the very same fertilizers you use to make them grow healthy and strong. Nutrients begin to lock out and others become toxic.
@Im-just-StardustАй бұрын
I like those 'banana peppers'' you have there. Highly productive! I was browsing in my seed catalogue and saw similar peppers called ''Hungarian hot wax''. Is it this variety that you are growing? I will definitely give them a try next summer after what i've seen here. PS I totally agree that we are what we eat. I drastically changed my diet 5 years ago and my body responded in ways I could not even dream of. Its sad that too little people understand that. Our gut flora is a universe, and when you feed good things to an entire universe, good things happen.
@growingouttheboxАй бұрын
@@Im-just-Stardust I really appreciate your input. Just like dropping seeds for the first time. “You have to start”…. Lifestyle 👍 These are just heirloom banana peppers that are in my 3rd season. I start all my peppers inside in February. I then up pot them into 32oz cups where they live until all frost has passed. By the time they are planted into the garden they are flowering and I will have fruit before our heat is too intense. I remove all the fruit during the hottest months and by the time the temperatures start to come back down they go into overdrive producing fruit!

@@Gardenofglory-l6v 1st thing I would do is check the pH of my soil. That will dictate the fertilizer I would use. You want a range of around a 6.6 I start my peppers inside very early around February. Alfalfa and powdered eggshells. You can liquid feed with fish emulsion.
