You went Grasp although Lethal Tempo still exists. Second Wind is useless against Garen, so run Bone plating into him. Doran's blade because you can 1v1 easily. Also the full runes against Garen is LT - PoM - LA - LS - BP - Demolish/Overgrowth. If you rush Grasp then take Manaflow and Transendence. E his Q and stun him whenever he uses his E so you run away. Never stay close to him so he can't shred your armor. For build go Triforce, Sundered, Shojin/Steraks. You can also zone him off minions.

Appreciate the advice, for this game I was experimenting with grasp for short trades but it definitely did work as well as i expected. I’ll definitely be using lethal tempo next time. Thanks for the comment :)

Respect lvl2 spikes (1 wave + 2 ranged minions or 1 meele minion) Dont engage him he outsustains you so trades are in his favor. Respond to his dash with E dont be proactive. Also open with titanic hydra next time so you can match his clear 👍 Whats holding you back in going even is not understanding your matchup and build. Adapt your build to the enemy team dont just automatically build trinity. Id play titanic hydra into black cleaver maybe even iceborn gauntlet. When ahead always build defensive items when behind build full damage and send it because you need drastic play to swing. Also he is weak to stuff like iceborn because his q only removes all slows once and after his Q W E his cds are pretty significant and thats when you chunk him.

The most bullshit thing about garen isn't even his r, its his passive healing him like a fucking mundo and his e that keeps spinning and doing damage even when hes cc'd

You play dorans shield and wants to outsustain garen if you went blade at first you can out damage garen

as a garen main.... I can say garen loses most matchups, even jax matchups... that said if the jax is good

Jax is a pretty easy matchup for garen if the jax isnt good. However if jax has lethal tempo and both fight all in Jax wins.. as a garen one trick , what makes garen broken vs hard matchups for garen even counters is phase rush.. it gets you out from sticky situations, garen likes short trades because of his passive, if you trade vs garen and you trade equal health = garen wins , simple as that. As a jax you only beat garen if you have lethal tempo, even if garen starts E level one, fight in the minion if you stack up lethal tempo and u continue the trade jax will win the 1v1, if you dont manage to kill him is where the problem is cuz he will just regen. Also a lot of mistakes people do as jax vs garen is, they use their Q to engage onto garen.. bad... when i get a jax like that i know its a free win... Walk up auto use ur stun as jax once garen uses E , use ur Q to escape .. and keep repeating that. And go bork, u melt garen with bork.. "if you are equal gold/level" if you are behind yeah gl hf . Into mid/late game as jax , every good jax ive lost to builds Steraks its broken... usually mid game it comes very close who wins the 1v1 but garen comes on top cuz of his ult execute.. Sterak prevents that.., you know how many times im like hehe i have him , only to ult jax and pop his sterak so my ult just disapears and he comes on top with a little bit of hp.. I love going against good jax players cuz its fun even if i lose im like damn okay he actually outplayed me, my tricks dont work against him.

I do think I played this poorly, unfortunately I don’t play trundle or yorick, I do play Tahm Kench though and that is a pretty good counter I feel.
