Yes... there is... it is in Androon Shah Almi... near the bazaar Jore Mori Bazaar... I am sure that your ancestral home might still be there because a lot of pre-partition buildings have remained intact till now... Nothing has changed much inside the wall... It has preseved itself quite well... Although Shah Almi gate is now forever gone due to communal riots in 1947... I believe your father might have fresh memories of that gate before it was burnt down...

Lahore,Delhi.lucknow ,and other such places have great historical past ,with a rich heritage.Alas we are losing sight of such a glorious past,in pursuit of imaginary modernity.Lets wake up and try to preserve of what remains now.High rise structures,glass facades do not make us modern.lets stop aping the West.and even at this late stage take steps to regain our lost heritage.We can be beautiful as we are. In Hyderabad,some restoration of old historical buildings have been undertaken .The Falaknuma Paiace is now a beautiful hotel,managed by the Tatas.The Chow Mohalla palace is now a cultural and tourist venture.Char minar is going through some restoration work. Restoration work is on at Mecca Masjid. We have still a long way to go.It is never too late.

This is old lahore ,it became v dirty now in my childhood (20 year's before) it was v clean and historical buildings were v good in condition ,most of the building had the original painting ,portrayed could be seen ,but my heart crys after watching this condition of andaron lahore ,I have v v v beautiful memories of my childhood relate to lahore ,after watching this video if someone go to modren lahore he will be surprised to see the great differance between them ,new lahore is no less than any devlaped country ,it has v beautiful great mall ,chain restaurants ,designers brand name shops ,everything is available here,but u should have so much money to spent ,because everything is so much expansive there, I love my lahore and I love my pakistan ,after watching this video I m missing my lovely country ,I will come back v soon inshAllah
