The Gathering - Dalek World Record Attempt - 10th March 2019

World Record attempt to beat the 2008 most Daleks in a single room record. There were 73 full size props and 14 people in costume. Event organised by the now disbanded Sons of Skaro in Chippenham, Wiltshire UK. 10th March 2019.

It seems nobody here noticed, but the Daleks, that Colin Baker walked by taking pictures of them too. Hehe. You could hear the two very animated (coffee loving) ones in the background as the cameraperson walked away shouting: "It is the Doctor!"

@@atklm1 Well, I've seen him at enough cons to be fairly sure that was him passing the camera, and he turned a little for a second so we got a tiny bit of a profile. Plus the Daleks recognized him and the camera person passed his signing table right next to Nicola Bryant on their way out of the Dalek display area. And his course from right to left screen would have started there.

@@AubreySciFi Still, pretty astute. Colin Baker was the first doctor I ever saw, watched him in the 80's when I was a lad. The most colorful of all Doctors.

Damn, would love to have seen Dalek Clifton and Dreadnought in this queue! I know they attended another record in 2013 but perhaps the cost to travel from Canada just for this occasion might be too much. I do recognise the WWII service holding a plate as the one who went "Would you like a jelly baby- don't take the red one!" several years back. Can't tell if Doris was here, hard to know without the balloon. I'm presuming no because none of the bronze ones have black rectangle mid-section panels. I've started to see a new individual around, a Dalek Orin, maybe you should ask him on the next attempt, assuming the Jawas spared him.

Can be a bit of both really, some go for fully remote controlled Daleks, where some, like mine i get inside and operate, do the voice etc. Mines Dalek 20, Called Dalek Skelton

It's the Emperor Dalek from the 60s comics, it didn't appear in the show at all, but it did inspire the design of Davros in Remembrance of the Daleks.
