I bought a small bagged vacuum and keep it in the laundry room...It takes forever to fill a bag...I've always done this because dusty lint flies everywhere when you hand clean the dryer vent... I'd also stick the crevice tool inside to get any lint that might have fallen when putting in/taking out the lint screen...and just vacuum around the laundry room to keep it clean..... sorry I'm a clean freak. LOL EDIT: Just finished the vid. You're review was amazing and you didn't miss a thing...Great job

How is amazon to deal with re: customer service and delivery of big-ticket items? I bought a fridge last summer and I thankfully only had to deal with Costco and not LG. I've also watched a lot of reviews, and all are great. I don't like that this one is an affiliate though. But since I've seen so many other amazing ones... 🤷🏻‍♀

@@iposttvshows why not buy local so they can deliver and set it up. I could have drove to numerous stores and picked one up. For the same price I waited a week had it delivered and set up. Sure I could have installed it no problem, but why try and wrestle a 300 pound machine into your laundry room when two strong young guys will carry it in. I use Amazon all the time but sometimes supporting a local business for service is worth a lot.

@@philjohnson9744 I support local businesses all the time. Not sure what local business I could buy this from. Also, with such a big ticket item and the likely hood of issues, I would like to know I'm buying from a place with great customer service. I had 3 Fridges delivered before one fully worked and had no damage. Costco made it as painless as possible.

We did purchase the Ultrafast and have had it just over 1 month (now July 2024). The lint does have some leakage past the filter, however I have not seen much build up on the blue coil’s as of yet. I did about 1 week ago put the foam filter modification on the back of the lint trap (from another video) to stop the build up on the notch in the back of the filter slot, which improved to block the lint build up and not have to clean it as much. I have not thus far put the top or bottom modification on the filter, however have been thinking about at least the top portion, which is where I see (small amount) of lint leakage. The Ultrafast thus far has worked extremely well washing and drying all in one load. Just be aware if you place towels in with cloths they don’t dry as a mix. So i would recommend towels all as one different load. Yes i would recommend the Ultrafast for 1) small spaces, 2) ventless, 3) ordinary 110 plugin. Works well!!! For myself!

@@tsimonin Yup, I clean the filter every load and take a flashlight to look deep inside. A long tunnel to check out. Before the foam blocks, I had purchased some brushes and a flexible hose attachment to my portable Ryobi vacuum that I have, which does work once that bend is straighten out. However that modification did help on the tunnel lint left overs! Best to all and decision making!!

@Majeskty not the lint filter at the top. the one at the very bottom of the combo in the front that has a cover on it. You have to unscrew it and let the water come out. It's another filter, and I forgot about it, and it clogged up.

@@tsimonin Yes, the pump filter does need checking. That needs checking depending on your use 1-3 months, don’t remember GE’s recommendation however I was thinking ONCE Per Month. Wish they had provided a small tool for opening the access panel or a different mechanism. I found a thin butter knife and slides easily into the slot to pop the panel open. Make sure that the drain ramp you pull down is all the way or the water that drains will flow back on to the top of riser or floor. I do have the riser which helps getting a butter bowl underneath to collect the water about a Pint.

I watched one video on this machine where the woman was ranting and carrying on about how her brand new super duper GE Profile One and done machine wasn't working. She called GE and complained. GE told her to contact the retailer where she bought the machine from because she had only had it for a few days. She called Lowe's and they told her all they can do is have her return the machine to the store for a refund and then they could order a new machine for her. She said she got upset with Lowe's and wanted them to have a repair person come out to her home and see why the machine wasn't working. Come to find out, she never bothered to remove the label on the display screen as well. Unreal.......... All that stress she put on herself and others for absolutely something so simple had she used an ounce of common sense. Just an ounce......

I had to stop them from changing the plug to a 4 prong 220 volt connection, reinstalling a dryer vent, and by the time I showed them to remove the sticker on the display they had managed to change the language to French. It took a few minutes to figure out how to fix that. 😂 I’ve had mine for about a month now and absolutely love it!!

My first delivery crew from Lowes refused to install due to weight and left it in the garage. Contacted Lowes and told them they said they needed a team meat to have 3-4 people carry it upstairs. Rescheduled, next crew came, 2 people again... They did it, got it in safely I will give them that but their attention to detail was lacking, didn't even level it properly, shoved hoses in too far, hooked up a hose backwards (had right angle hoses for back of washers) etc....

@@ChrisEpler I just had a similar experience with lowe's, they delivered my moms unit 12/14/2023. The delivery guys tried leaving it in the hallway claiming it was too heavy to slide it into the laundry closet without ruining the vinyl plank flooring, they ended up using some sliders we had and put it in place but they didn't remove the sliders from under the unit. I watched them install the unit on the riser and I never saw them balance the unit so I asked twice if the unit is balanced which they said it was. Later we started using and testing out the unit and it shakes a bit and is obviously out of balance. I also noticed Lowe's had the drain hose shoved about 2ft+ down into the drain (instructions say no more than 7 inches. After watching this video tonight I discovered that Lowe's removed the 4 large shipping bolts but did NOT remove the 2 large metal shipping brackets, we have done probably 10-12 loads of laundry so I don't know if the unit is damaged now. If there is even the slightest chance that it could be damaged I want Lowe's to exchange is ASAP!

@egcorral I'm not an expert on drains, but I would have to say it would not be a problem. Small particles would just go down the drain.
@ChrisEpler
@ChrisEpler Жыл бұрын
@@egcorral It's likely happening with your current washer. The front pump filter cleanout is where you'll want to keep an eye on as it has a small comb filter and grid to catch lint that might cause a problem. Cleaning this out regularly is a good idea to help protect the pump. Just keep a small low plastic container handy to catch the cup or two of water and just crack the twist knob until water starts running down the 'ramp' you flip down, once it stops open the rest of the way and just clean out any lint/slime you find in there, maybe check the hole it goes into for anything left behind. Hole on the right goes to the pump, hole in back to the tub.
@brandonrippeonphoto
@brandonrippeonphoto 3 ай бұрын
@@egcorral don’t worry the commentor doesn’t really know what they’re talking about, there’s a pump filter at the bottom of the machine that catches lint and small particles that make it out in the draining of water. it is easily accessible for cleaning and prevents lint from making it to your drain
@ChrisEpler
@ChrisEpler Жыл бұрын
I noticed the white/yellowish ductwork to the left of the filter where it goes down into the drum can get quite a bit of condensation on it but it isn't Microban treated. I hope that area won't end up getting mold growth as it would be a pain to get in there to clean it. App needs a way to do separate notifications settings for softener and detergent dispensers. Right now they're grouped together so if you don't plan to use softener you'll get notifications about softener being low/out all the time and if you disable that you lose detergent notifications... GE should make the drain for the pump filter easier to open to encourage cleaning it often, shouldn't need a screwdriver to open that thing! If you have pets you're going to get a lot of hair in there, highly recommend checking that more often than you think you should.

@ChrisEpler
@ChrisEpler Жыл бұрын
2-2.5 hrs depending upon how absorbent the materials are. I noticed this washer spins for a longer time than I'm used to, to try to get as much water out as possible... Sorta caused an issue when I did a test load with the quick cycle that had a towel and a few misc other clothing items....the spin cycle got that towel to really stick to the drum and it was still stuck solid and not tumbling half-way thru the dry cycle at which point I pulled it down and shook it out a bit...not sure if it would have ever dislodged. This was with the spin speed at 'high'. (towels usually run at Extra High I think) Was probably an issue since it was just 1 towel and not enough things to bump it loose.

I got my mom one of these the other day, she's loving it thus far! BUT the Lowes delivery guy was saying it was too heavy and he was having difficulty getting it into the laundry closet (which is small but there's a good 6-8 inches of space on each side of the washer) and he said he didn't want to mess up the vinyl plank flooring, the guy ended up putting it on sliders we had and sliding it into place which isn't a big deal but he left the sliders under the legs and the unit shakes a bit at times, he also didn't balance it correctly according to the instructions (I watched him not touch the legs at all on the riser and I asked him multiple times if its balanced he said yes absolutely) so I guess I have to get Lowes to come back out and get the sliders out and get it balanced correctly! Watching your video now I am 99% sure the guy also only removed the 4 big bolts on the back of the unit so now I'm worried about that and if any damage has been caused as my mom has done probably 10 or so loads of laundry thus far.

Thank you so much for stressing to remove the bolts and the brackets in your video!! I wonder if the unit needs to be swapped out for another one now as I don't want my mom to keep a unit that has even the slightest chance of being damaged now from using it with the brackets attached. Watching other video’s and looking at the manual download in preparations of possible purchase. I am looking at getting the riser and directions show that the riser needs to be attached, balance, even move the units feet down to snug it down, before removing the back brackets. KZbin is good tool to educate to catch errors by the installers and just own knowledge. They do mention about damaging the unit somewhere if bracket is not removed. Did the store take care of the balancing or did you ask for different Ultrafast out of your concern? Thanks

@@Majeskty I ended up getting a new unit. ...... When they delivered the 2nd unit the delivery guys did some weird sh!t where they basically turned the unit upside down to install the riser instead of lying the unit down on it's back which scuffed the corner of the unit up and then I tested the scuffed unit it would not run a cycle it would power down after the load sensed. ...... So, I made them bring a 3rd unit and I was set on them doing everything 100% according to the instructions. After they removed the 2nd scuffed unit instead of installing the riser on the new 3rd Unit and putting it in place the delivery guys ended up setting the 3rd unit in my hallway and leaving, they refused to install it and said I would have to call and have someone else come out and mount the riser and put the unit in its place ..... Yeah video and I believe manual showed before removing back brackets lay it on its back, place mounting brackets on riser and Ultrafast, then connect riser to bottom of Ultrafast, bring all upright, finish tighting brackets, turn feet on Untrafast to snug everything down and finally remove transport brackets on back and save for any future move.
