Wonderful to see the old girls from the 20s and 30s still able to compete. Loved the sounds of the the two old Ford V8s and their modern counterpart, the yellow Sunbeam Tiger.

Agreed, there were many treats for the ears at this event

Nice video again RJ, I particularly enjoyed seeing the Sunbeam Tiger, and the sound of the Minis with the straight cut gears. Splendid collection of oldies. Thanks for sharing

There was a piece about "Ringo Starr's exotic car collection" in the UK papers a couple of days ago. His first car was a Standard Vanguard, various Mercs (including a Pullman Limo), a Facel Vega 2 (the world's fastest 4 seater in 1964), a Chevy Bel Air, and a custom Mini hatchback (for his drums!). 😁👍

I remember reading an interview with Keith Richards years ago talking about Charlie Watts extensive car collection and how Charlie would get dressed up in fancy matching outfits and just set in the cars since he never had a drivers license.

Another great one. I reckon the current mix of outdoor shows, rally type events, indoor shows, tinkering, slide shows, ephemera is brilliant. Pretty much anything to do with old cars is very watchable!

Thank you for posting the video Richard.... And a big thank you also should go to the marshals from Knutsford & District Motor Club, Liverpool Motor Club and other local motorclubs who set up the course and kept an eye on the proceedings. Hope to see you back at Oulton early on 12th April for the tests on the Flying Scotsman Rally, for pre-war cars.

The car that really caught my eye was the Range Rover. As out of place as a nun in a bordello it surprised me with its good handling without the usual body roll. A massive roll cage and mighty roar from the V8 together with uprated suspension indicated that it was more at home in off road events. Great video as always and very relaxing after a hard weekend of gardening!

Yes I was surprised how well the RR went around the twisties too

Interesting one RJ, hauling some of those old Bentleys around that track must take some physical strength.
@oldclassiccarUK6 ай бұрын
There were some lovely pre-war cars there, yes the Bentleys looked like an excellent workout (and more fun than a running machine)

Hi Richard . Something for everyone ! The Dolomite straight 8 was a new one to me . And 2 cars l thought l'd never see, the CX and Ital and the Mercedes were a surprise as well . The strange thing is , which i noticed on your last visit , there obviously is no saftey harness rules which l find confusing as by definition this is a competition being held on a race circuit ? And that 2+2 number plate couldn't have been legal surely ....And finally , 3 Aston's worth North of £2 million collectively .....YIKES . Thanks Richard

I'm not well up on the regs but the competitive elements are mainly run on private land, and the drift track isn't a proper racing circuit or anything

Hi 👋 Thankyou for this splendid video of oldies . I was amused by the Citroen CX Estate. It looked like a hearse. I was waiting for the coffin to fall out the back as it was going around the bends. I loved the black Lagonda , it was stunning. You came across well despite the background noise, I could hear you clearly. From Carl in NZ.

I thought we had 'lost' the light blue Mini number 55 at one point but it returned. The Bentley boys were a sight to see and the old V8 Fords. One unexpected entry I thought was the Citroen CX not a car you would think of for rallying but it seemed to cope well. Also nice to see was the Sunbeam Tiger and the Datsun 240Z both suited to such an event. Just a shame about the wasps, if only they could have got pest control to deal with them 🙂. No I don't mind vintage Bikes but on the same day well never mind. Thanks for posting Rick It is a very nice video. 👍👍
