Thank you so much for this series! I'm going to school for a plant genetics major, and one thing I have struggled with for a long time is associating math with biology. I know it's there, but entry-level college doesn't give any of this information, and doesn't connect different fields in an intriguing way. Keep up the good work, and know that your work is helping others!

I'm a biochem student and I find this content really enjoyable. In your future TMEB videos, would you be able to highlight open questions related to the bioinformatics topics you cover? Also yes to more immune system videos!

I would like both of these: explaining the unexplainable! The last three minutes blew my mind, and also I'd watch memes like the beginning all day 😂

A video dissecting the math of the immune system would be amazing!!

I love this series so much! as a Biotech student its nice to see the mathematics and the reasoning behind why some of the things work the way they do. like i knew that the error rate is extremely low because of these things i just didn't know the mathematics behind them. Also yes would love to see a immunsystem spin off!

Thank you, the way in which you present this information makes it easier for me to grasp or atleast begin to understand the concepts.

Never stop... These are baby steps for something great... Even better than the Khan Academy... You delve into the logic behind biology, a subject often seen as illogical and purely empirical

It seems pretty intuitive that spending energy will be harder to undo, but that made the equations so much easier to follow! Excited for part two 👏

Hmm I had never thought to make that leap, I know that a lot of equilibrium chemistry can be driven to completion by removing a byproduct in whatever way you like but I hadn't considered cells exploiting that same mechanism. I love this stuff!

Really enjoyed watching your videos recently. Found out many new things about topics I knew well from biological, but not mathematical perspective. Hope to see more about immune system! Keep up a great work!

I am genuinely interested in your mathematical approach to biology and was wondering if you can consider videos about topics in synthetic biology?

My videos kinda orbit around syn-bio a lot haha. Maybe I'll really dive deep into it in the future. The modeling skills from this series is very applicable to that field.

I really appreciate your topics and your math focused look on biological processes! but please go a little slower and be clear about what each variable stands for before using it. k' off and k off in the second part what is what ??? Give the experimental values before solving the equations to let me have a intuition of what i am expecting and be surprised afterwards.

Evolution cannot occur without stable populations. Stable populations require highly specific copying of information. Highly specific copying of information requires highly specific complexes of nanomachines. Highly specific nanomachines require highly specific base 4 encoded information in thousands if not hundreds of thousands of bytes. And the precise organization of hundreds of thousands of bytes plus the simultaneous existence of the machines requires?
