as someone who's been an army since 2013, I find it very ignorant when someone says they're starting to change their concepts now because of fame or whatever, because bts doesn't have a concept as a kpop group, the closest they have of a concept is the hip-hop. some new armys have to understand that bts ain't going to do a concept they liked back ago, because bts are artists who change with their music, they're not teenagers anymore, they're adults close to 30 y/o. bts' music is about what bts wants to transmit in that moment as persons and artists and not a simple aesthetic in an album. so, yes, bts is changing, like they always did it, that's what makes them stand out in the music industry.

now after this year Festa, it become clear that they did want to have an "end of chapter" with MOTS7 because they had take a huge tribute to their root in the album as you have point out. But of course the b!tch named covid came and mess the whole things up, so they can only revive what they had done in this 2 years, not really make a daring experiment since they were supposed to rest already.
