When the KDS9 was launched I was intrigued by the design and styling. I like many others don't run a pistol mounted weapon light. However, i was surprised that the KDS9 originally launched without a light rail. Which only meant a railed version was on the way,

I wish people would quit trashing Kimber. Those that do probably never shot nor owned a Kimber. I'm a Sig guy and I bought the KDS9C. It's fucking awesome. 2 free magazines and your choice of grips, how can you go wrong. The slide is as smooth as my Sigs.

Not a weapon lights fan. Love my original KDS9C. Great gun, but I wish they had the rmr plate when I bought.

My preference is a handheld light, from everything Jeff said. The biggest thing for me is that I prefer full coverage of my trigger guard. I know it's minimal risk that clothing could get bunched up and pull the trigger, but with the triggergaurd fully covered, as with a nonlight holster, I know it will not get pulled.

@rdrgear 0/3 on Kimbers myself. 2 of them I sent back 4 times each and they would say it's fixed and it wasn't. Guns look incredible tho

I just want to know which fudds are still keeping Kimber in business. I dont know a single person even hard core 1911 guys that would buy a used Kimber much less a new one.

All you have to do is get your target inside the window of the optic with or without the dot working. At close distance, any target within the window will get but by a bullet if the shooter does their job. To make that technique even better, put your target in the center if the window. No dot needed....

I'm gonna strongly disagree with this. My first time training house clearing with a helmet the buckle changed my cheek weld. Thought that my dot had died and did what you mentioned. I put two rounds over the shoulder of the first target I engaged. I looked through the glass of my T2 and aimed center mass. If a rifle missed while looking through glass then a pistol isnt gonna be any better.

The light is for weight up front. I’m not really interested on actually using the light. I don’t go out at night.

I like it. Why people are saying it's expensive is odd. $1150 isn't that bad for a 2011. Not at all. I'd rather a cowitness sight since red dots do fail or not work as desired far more often than iron sights. The serrations look a little much but are growing on me as look at it. I like it.

It’s sad that Ken Hackathorn was “canceled” by the gun community for the very same thing that you just sad about pistol lights… even though you were much more diplomatic about it. I agree with what you said. It’s just messed up how the gun community turned on Ken for something so small. They act like Ken was calling for gun control 🙄

@@rdrgear I get that. And I agree with what you said. Maybe he shouldn’t have been so aggressive in how he expressed his views. I just know that there are videos that he did for Wilson Combat where he showed viewers how to use pistol optics and lights, which makes me feel like the reaction was blown out of proportion.
