The label is not even accurate lmao. Humans have not been the main drivers of climate change, it is a natural phenomenon that is linked to changes in geological activities as well as solar activities (I’m not making it up, it is literally the first paragraph that the British Geological Survey gives about this matter, to name an example) What can be attributed to humans however is that we are making the impact of the greenhouse effect of climate change worse in certain parts of the world with high concentrations of CO2 emissions due to industrial activities, urban life, etc. But even if all of that stopped, it wouldn’t mean that climate change would stop happening or that drastic events would no longer occur, it would just mean that we are not making it worse for ourselves, especially in parts of the world where humans live. And no, this isn’t an anti-climate change post or whatever, I am not denying the impact of our lifestyle, it is important however that we don’t lie to people and give them the actual facts about this topic.

Elden Ring Nightreign is fascinating. I understand the knee jerk negative responses to the genre bullet points but if you read the website and interviews it seems promising. Basically the combat director of Elden Ring had this idea and started development while they were working on the DLC, so it’s like his experimental passion project. Whether you like or hate the idea, it’s explicitly a bonus and not a sign that this is what Fromsoft is now or anything dramatic like that.

What exactly is it? There was more of an emphasis on it being a multiplayer title. The website makes me think its like Monster Hunter in how it revolves around fighting a boss, but you have time to explore a map to prepare.

I'd just like to confirm that yes, Mecha Break is 100% worth keeping an eye on. Played the beta, it was awesome, and according to that trailer, it's only getting more awesome. The beta was the 6v6 game modes (capture points, capture the flag, 5 round search and destroy/elimination, escort, and target destroy) and only had fixed loadouts. It had VERY in depth color customization for your mechs and had part upgrades you could equip to lean towards a specific playstle. But according to this trailer we are getting: - Glider Vehicles that come with cannons and add a new dynamic to the combat - 3v3 game modes - New weapons and custom loadouts - Massive boss battles - The battle royale scale map for the extraction game mode (which is apparently where you'll actually be able to farm resources and such) All of this on top of a game that's already leaning towards having exclusively cosmetic mtx and focusing hard on just... Delivering a really cool, high quality game. I'm genuinely hyped for it.

I was excited for the game based on what was shown, which is literally all the info i had to work with. i still think those presentations were extremely well put together and if the game delivered on even half of the feeling that they elicited i may feel differently about it today. My first couple hours on stream were fun but once you get past that point you realize it’s incredibly shallow, really not much more complicated than that.

Biggest disappointment was no Penny's Big Breakaway for Indie/platformers, not even a nomination or mention! It's my GOTY 2024! I'm also with Snapcube, actually interested in Intergalactic. Kinda wish it was Santamonica instead of Naughtydog tho, as I haven't been into one of their games since Uncharacted Lost Legacy, the Chloe Frazer one. But the Porsche Stingray cowboy bebop ship, and the possible dmc-like melee combat has me intrigued.

One of the biggest issues with Witcher 3 is that there were no interesting things to do in the vast empty spaces. Smaller is almost guaranteed better. That and some of the worst combat I've experienced in such an expensive game.
