What's so interesting about Taiwan is that there used to be serveal cross Island highways. One of them, the 知本林道 once connected Pingtung in the west with Taidong in the east. This road was developed by the Japanese during the 1930s. Once there were actually vehicles able to pass through. Now very little is left, and the road has been mostly forgotten. Still, japanese artifacts like bottles and other items can still be found in the mountains.

A few corrections: 3:58 雪山山脈 should be either spelled "Hsueh Shan Range" or "Xueshan Range", "Xiashan" is incorrect. 4:47 Taiwan's de facto first level of subdivision are municipalities, cities, and counties. Province is now "frozen" and not in use in daily life. The three counties in the east are Yilan County, Hualien County, and Taitung County from north to south. 8:16 "Hehuanshan" (合歡山) misspelled without an n after the first a. 8:21 Usually "Taiwan Strait" instead of "Taiwanese Strait". 8:56 "Jianan Basin" or "Jianan Plain" (嘉南平原), "jia" was mispronounced as "yah" instead of sounding something like "dja" as in "jar". 9:03 The definition of Pingtung Plain was wrongly stretched across the Gaoping River. Jianan plain continues until it hits the border of Pingtung County. I never heard that the division was between Zengwen River.
Great video once again! Can you make on the geography of the Netherlands? More than just "flat"

The rivers flowing in Taipei actually wreaked havoc on the city many times, especially during Typhoon seasons. They were shallow but twisty, often incapable of absorbing any extra flows. Much modern city planning in Taipei revolves around strengthening the rivers and reclaiming hazardous lands to use.

Taiwan, an island located in East Asia, is known for its diverse geography. On a *geography map*, Taiwan is situated off the southeastern coast of China, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Taiwan Strait to the west. The island is characterized by rugged mountains, coastal plains, and fertile valleys, offering a rich variety of landscapes despite its relatively small size.

Good content. But you used the wrong stock footage too often. Many of the scenes where not the places or events described, sometimes being even outside of Taiwan, like showing the earthquake from Turkey. I think that can be highly problematic for an information channel and would encourage you to use more accurate stock footage and images in the future.
