For the MSRP this is a capable MT. The unlocking sliders are a hot spot after using a few times. How wide the handles are good in a way, hand room. For gripping large nut/bolts the handles are uncomfortably wide. It's a fair review for a budget MT.

I carry this or my wave plus daily and my only complaints about the nxt are that 1: the nxt blade is way too small, it’s similar to the original suspension which I used to edc for years before finally upgrading to a wave then a wave plus.. definitely prefer both blades on the wave And 2: there is way to much play in the nxt handle when using the pliers, it feels less than stable when applying pressure.. I broke the pliers on my original suspension a few times and it was more sturdy then this version but gerbers warranty is second to none when it comes to replacement or repair at this price point tho if I didn’t own any multi-tools and had to choose one the suspension or nxt would be my go to tool.. you just can’t beat it at $30

I've had my eye on one for a bit and have bid on a few on Ebay, but I've had a suspension and a diesel from gerber that left a bad taste in my mouth. I've since stood clear of the brand. But your making me want to step to the dark side... Feel better man hopefully that cold is a short one.

I think Gerber takes a lot of blunders, but this one seems quite solid.

I felt the same as you did about this tool until I actually started to use it. I used it for 2 weeks at work so I could do a review on it and my impression now is not as favorable.

The suspension had been out for a long time but this is a huge upgrade imo, the drivers especially are way way better
