Richard Gibson stole every scene he ever appeared in on "Allo Allo". The man is pure brilliance! Herr Flick's comedic style of sinister was the best asset to the series. The last series suffered due to a change in actor and the fact the laughs dried up.

Last season was more for the wrap up. Some great cast members died in the makings, others had enough, the original Bertorelli was way better than his placeholder, also Gordon Kaye (René) had a bad traffic accident, making the gap between season 7 and 8 very big. It's quite special they made it end at all. The whole cast was brilliant, exept at the end, when some of the additional characters were played by others.

Richard Gibson who plays Herr Flick is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Seen him at two separate film/tv conventions, both times he was there with Helga (Kim Hartman) and they were incredibly sweet. Constantly in a cheerful mood, never a "no" in their mouth, and often they'd sit together and giggle like little school children. So cute to watch the two, as they're clearly great friends in real life. Also bumped into him later -out of costume at a hotel- and he was still incredibly nice!
