Welcome back to the Great Guitar Build Off invitational challenge. There are lots of participants this year, which means lots of exciting content and lots of competition. In this video we are continuing with my build. As you can see, we are using a beautiful uncut kit from Crimson Guitars, just like every competitor, and we are going to be turning it into something a bit more classic than I have in the past, but still definitely unique.

ahhh yes, good ol' Gunstreet wiring....love their harnesses! I've got about 20 guitars, and atleast half of them have Gunstreet wiring in them. Some are projects/kits i built, others were just to replace "Sub-par" factory wiring in other guitars. Awesome quality stuff, and really great customer service. I had actually ordered a custom harness for one of my kit builds, and ended up spending about an hour chatting with them on facebook thru messanger. Awesome group of people there!

That is freaking awesome Brad, I don't think I have ever liked blue before. I don't quite understand the grill between the pickups, but that's ok. The way that grain pops through that glossy blue, the factory guitars do not hold a candle to that. I knew you would build a nice one, it's not your first BBQ, but you exceeded expectations. Hat's off to you, I hope you do well with it, and make some $$ for the kids.

I don't think you actually applied ANY heat to that output jack. You can master the task buddy, I know you can. Little solder on the tip, sure. Then tip to Jack and wait. Sorry for the noob question. I need some advice. I am finishing a Solo guitar kit with a mahogany body and neck with Oxford's red mahogany grain filler and then Oxford's heritage cherry lacquer. Brad, I know this isn't related to the GGBO, but I am looking for your advice. I have always appreciated your knowledge and have used your instructions with great success. I have used the Spraymax 2k clear with duplicolor paints previously with outstanding results. I'm currently building my first guitar body from scratch, and I have stained it with water-based stains. Can I spray the Spraymax 2k directly over the stained wood for a durable, high gloss finish? If so, is there any specific preparation I need to complete before spraying the clear? Thank you again for your valuable advice! Just found and watched your precision guitar kit series. Just what I was looking for! Thanks!
