Let’s see, Ghostbusters IDW canonically have fought against the ghosts of Cybertronians alongside surviving the Infestation event, and the Real Ghostbusters have fought and defeated the Boogieman twice. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Beetle would win hands down as long as only the cartoons fought the cartoons and the real life versions fought the real life versions. Because face it... the cartoon Ghostbusters fought a lot more diverse and dangerous ghosts/demons than Ghostbusters from the movies ever did. The tech and physical laws of the cartoons never made sense either, nor did the classifications. As an example, in movies Gozer was classified as a "level 7", but so was The ghost in the second movie even though he clearly was much weaker. The level was not based on actual measurements, but rather on the expected threat. However in the cartoons they go wild with the levels and end up having ghosts that are level 200 etc. The comic and later the crap comics that were released in the 200x took this even further and became worse, making the Ghostbusters travel time and dimensions and alternative realities and become more OP than literal gods. It was ridiculous and dumb. But ignoring the comics, the Movie versions of Ghost Busters really have never been shown to have had any experience with any type of reality warping entities. Even the gods either never had such powers, or simply didn't use them. I mean in all honesty, the ghost buster never stood a chance against Gozer. They only technically won in the first fight because they blew up the portal that and this made the ghost energy Gozer had used to create an avatar for itself to blow up. In the second fight they trapped all the ghosts that Gozer had used to create it's avatar body and then trapped the Ghosts of the key and the keymaster, effectively locking Gozer out from our dimension/earth forever(?) That silly so called "god" in the second movie obviously wasn't a real god but seemed to be some sort of spectral entity not on Gozer's level and one that actually had a Ghost body? But even that entity could have easily won if it had actually you know... done something instead of just floated around there glaring at them. I mean, that movies was so dumb. It could literally freeze proton streams, but instead of immediately freezing the whole city, use it's army of Ghosts or at least immediately frozen all the Ghost Busters... it just floated around being idiotic. Now, compare this to Beetlejuice. Unless the Ghostbusters had help from some of the other people from the Beetlejuice universe, or figured out the name trick... they wouldn't have stood a chance. In fact, even Ghosts at the level of that couple Beetle went to scam, could have defeated the Ghost busters easily since they could have just controlled their bodies. The Cartoon Ghostbusters however had the help of Slimer, constantly fought intelligent ghosts and other entities (depending on the writer), and while they sometimes/often won for the dumbest reasons that made absolutely no sense at all and shouldn't have worked, they still pact a lot of knowledge (that they shouldn't have) and constantly and easily created new technology custom for any and all situations. Cant catch the boogeymen because he isn't.. you know, a ghost but actually a living entity? No problemo, just introduce a new writer and Egon now has magically created a to change the proton polarity witch when hitting a Living entity, will turn technically turn their atoms into.. ghost atoms? Ignoring the actual immorality of this (ignoring the immorality of trapping Ghosts that can actually think in the first place), it really was bad writing. I mean, it worked for kids, but it became a problem when this crap continued and became even worse in the comics that was being sold to the millennials. But yeah, ignoring the comics, I'd say that even the Cartoon ghost Busters wouldn't stand a chance against the cartoon Beetlejuice. Cartoon Beetlejuice wasn't just a reality warper, but he literally broke the 4th wall. Considering some of his feats, while not exactly on mixlplix level, he was close enough that it wouldn't matter when dealing with the Ghost Busters. After all, even they somehow managed to trap him and put him in the container unit, Beetlejuice could just draw a door and leave since he was able to do such feat and travel through dimension in the cartoon if I remember correctly.
