As a Wildlands fan, he had 3 extra drone types. He had the explosive, the emp, and the medic. I think it would be a cool idea where you choose in the prep phase whether you get a cut-down version of one of these drones. Explosive could be another hard breach, emp could be another version of thatcher/Kali, and the medic one could be a mix between Doc and Finka, where the meds are only in a specific radius. I think he could also get a second regular drone for recon

@@Nic9458 If I was in charge of Ubi and ballsy I would unapologetically change the current Nomad's callsign and give it back to its rightful owner, put out a patch note and call it a day. Right now the current Nomad doesn't appear much in cinematics or the comics so I think it'll be relatively safe to retcon the callsign.

Auroa was Nomad's final mission before retiring. So I think this kinda puts the theory up in the air. I don't know how much sense it makes to add a retired 45 year old ghost operator to siege. I could definitely see anther ghost being added but not Nomad.

He was running from an enemy and rainbow could provide him with protection it wasnt a comeback it was the continuation of his story. and as far as im aware there is no lore of his retirement. Nomad is retired and has no reason to join rainbow.

Sam Fisher is in his 60s and still kicking ass. I think a guy who took down an entire drug cartel of Bolivia with 3 operators and took back an entire island from his former team going rogue and an entire PMC (twice, once addition of Russian Bodark spec ops and the same PMC) is capable of being a badass in his 40s. Since most players don't follow GR lore, in there it is stated nomad loses his home life often because of his dedication to Delta force later Ghost Recon Operations. So he would maybe fall in the same loop of life when he retired from the Aroua missions.

In Wildlands, you face a cartel that is ranked as a terrorist organization, the leader, El Sueno, canonically makes a deal with the US for him to live luxuriously in a penthouse freely in exchange for other groups or members of value That is until he escapes and remakes a new cartel, stronger and better than his first one, and this one could play a major role against Rainbow 6, from there you would have a new faction and Nomad would be called upon because he knows El Sueno better than anyone, even if he never faced the new cartel

@@Ocoro_ The Rainbow Squad are not infiltrators, they are sent when the mission is to blow up everything, That's why they asked the Ghosts for help. In Auroa the situation is different because the enemy it is a private army and that is their type of mission, to stop a gas bomb from spreading to the whole world. The Ghosts are sent to a region and take down some leader and Rainbow is in various parts of the world to stop terrorists.

I like the drone idea and think it should work like echo’s drone does in extraction, but I think instead of an auto scan ability I think it should be based on the abilities of the drone from wildlands. So you would get something like 2-4 drones and each one has separate use, one makes noise to lure enemies, one has an emp effect, one has a flashbang effect, and one could be a healing effect to revive injured teammates. I think this is good because not only would it make him unique and not an echo copy, but it would be more accurate to the character since it uses the abilities from the source material of the original game. I don’t how difficult this would be to do but I think it would be really cool

My idea for the flying drone, he lets it go and it travels along the floor he is on sweeping for defenders for a set amount of time and it gives an alarm when it finds someone. Maybe use the pathfinding of bots for patching, but that just seems like a surefire gadget that's not too complicated.

Nomad gadget idea: invisibility cloack Makes you invisible to people but not for drones. If you shoot it disables. You cant see other people ,teammate need to tell you where they are (with pings or using chat). It will be so op if he can see people. Footstep are louder.

the drone can just be a drone that flies freely in all 4 directions and hovers in place. It does nothing but is already very useful, especially if he were to have 2. Can be sort of a Eagle drone implementation from the Siege prototype.

A Siege concept designer KZbinr, zMin, created a re-work concept for Blackbeard that was very similar to GhostRecon Nomad's drone. If, lore wise, things go like CoreRoss believes, that is Blackbeard getting killed off, GhostRecon Nomad could be a perfect fit. I referenced zMin earlier because many of their concepts have been brought into Siege (one of the most notable being the Border rework). There are many things that are very close to lining up, were Blackbeard to die, Nomad would be a perfect fit visually (big beard) and gadget wise.

When it comes to the confusion of timelines Id say the best way to get around it is having different cannon timelines. Yes if you were to put Breakpoint's Nomad in siege it wouldn't make a lot of sense, but having a nomad from a slightly different cannon could fix that. look at extraction for example, its basically siege but aliens happened after the first outbreak. Nomads inclusion could be very smooth too considering most operators nowadays need to know someone to get recommended for the team and just going off of operation Archangel alone I'd say he's plenty qualified. when It comes to his callsign being changed because Nomad is taken, he could just be "ghost" or something. Sam Fisher has had three different callsigns over the years so It wouldn't be too crazy.

I've played a lot of different first-person shooter games, I know some of them where if a team member dies there mic goes dead, they can't communicate or give any call outs. What do you think if they introduced something like that, it would definitely increase the skill level needed. They could even just do it for ranked games, and then standard just keep it the way it is. Though I understand with like Discord and other type of communications that could be done it could be a little difficult. Just a thought though

Nomad could go by the callsign “Kingslayer” (in reference to the operation in Wildlands) or “Ghost” (though that may be confusing with Ghost Squad). He should have the ACR and Stoner LMG as primaries and the M9 as his Secondary (which are his canonical weapons). His ability should be to switch between 3 flying drones each with a unique ability. An explosive drone, an EMP drone and a Healing drone. Each drone should only get 1 use of their function, should be loud and easy to audibly detect and cannot travel far from Nomad (just like the drone range function in the games). The explosive drone should be a single use explosive with a medium radius that can kill ops, destroy soft walls but not hard walls. The drone will be destroyed afterwards. The EMP drone should also be single use but doesn’t destroy itself, becoming an observation tool like Echo’s drones. It should have a small EMP radius like the EMP grenade. The healing drone should automatically heal/revive any Operators in range and then, like the EMP drone, become an observation tool. Nomad shouldn’t be able to use any drones that he’s out of range of and should have an indicator that tells him what drones of his are/aren’t in range. A hypothetical feature to this could be a ‘recall’ button to summon any drones in range back to nomad. Which his drones in game do have. But that’s a big maybe and I personally don’t think they should.

One thing I basically instantly thought of when I first saw Deimos's mask was that it looked really reminiscent of the Wolves from breakpoint and before learning more about Deimos's backstory I thought he might be Walker... but Walker is kinda out of the question due to the Gerald Morris reveal at the start of the season, plus the fact that Walker dies in breakpoint so wouldn't make sense canonically. However, Walker had a signature magnum revolver 'Sharp Thunder', and the same is true for Deimos and his revolver 'Vendetta'. So maybe Deimos was or crossed paths with the Wolves? I think it would make sense for someone like Deimos to associate with someone so "survival of the fittest". Edit: Looking at the ghost recon timeline, we can see that breakpoint is in 2025, which would be r6 year 10. If Ubisoft wants to be lore accurate, Nomad would only fit in Y11S1 (2026 IRL) at the earliest, as until then he is busy with Operation Greenstone (also Sam Fisher appears sometime here too) and wouldn't make sense to add him just before he would have to be absent in the lore. There could be a case made for Operation Amber Sky where R6 ops went to Auroa in 2025 and that's what will happen in the lore with Nomad in Y10S1, but its probably unlikely. So if the timeline adds up, Nomad would appear in Y11S1 and the Keres Legion (formed 2012-2022) and Wolves (formed 2023, destroyed 2025) are around at the same time, they are both very similar in visual design and motivations, and their leaders are similar too.

A better fot could be Griffin (AKA Scott Mitchell) to compliment Sam as a Operations officer, Lore creation: Sam asks Scott to send Ghosts to help Rainbow deal with the Keres Legion, (Giving us the ability to add in Midas and/or Holt as future ops, and adding another person to the staff alongside Sam) Scott joins as the operations officer while Sam focuses on training and being in the field

They will probably name him spartan due to the hat he wears in gr and I hope he gets the gr future soldier outfit and walkers wolf outfit from bp and he could get a Scott Mitchell designed outfit and if he gets a new outfit if he's put into this game like Sam his elite should be his outfit in wildlands

They are going to have to call him something else then nomad or players will deal with 2 nomads being on opposite sides or on the same team, but that is his main callsign. Ghost would work as well, but that brings the question if R6 goes for longer, and they add John Kozak from future soldier because he is already in the GR lore since 2019, they will have 2 ghosts. The worst thing they did in this cross universe and it being in the same timeline thing is they did not communicate well with ghost recon writers to not have 2 operators named nomad in the game.

Tbh i think his drone would be extremely op. If it's limited to floor/roof like echo's the comminity would target Ubisoft for not being original enough. But a thing that doesn't get explored enough is proxy alarms. If we follow this "flying echo-like drone" idea, maybe instead of being a camera or stun, make it silent but not invisible, and capable of emmiting noise when defenders pass close to it, or instead of live pinging, emmit a message or an icon like lion's scan, deimos' desthmark and jackal's tracking in the screen warning of movement

It has just hit me that with year 9 season 2 we get new recruits we could get ghost recon recruits as skins for the new recruits I mean that would also get ubisoft extra money and it would be a win for us and a win for ubisoft and I forget if midas is alive or if holt is but isnt nomad a marksman and holt is the one who knows more about drones so wouldnt it make it so nomad would have a sort of marksman rifle and an ar as another weapon?

I think the reason why they work together (Finka, Ash and Thatcher) is that since Rainbow knows that Nighthaven wasn't the one behind the events of major importance (Such as Azami's boss dying) They sort of made up now and run missions side by side but as you say, Nighthaven is not a part of Rainbow anymore.

I completely agree that it would be great to see Nomad from G.R.W and G.R.BP. I personally played Ghost Recon before starting Rainbow and personally theorized ways the two could overlap via a "Ghost" Operator. Even to this day, I still have the Nomad Cap charm on Nomad's ar-s 😂. However, I think that you could definitely just leave Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint's story just alone and it would be fine. Even the crossovers of Sam Fisher and Rainbow in Breakpoint are kinda excusable as a alternate timeline, where Rainbow stayed in tach just like in R6 Extraction. I think Ghost is also a perfect Codename for "Nomad" but I think it would be cool to have nods to his real operator name in things like his uniform and drone ability.

Spartan would be a better name IMO, base it off of his hat that he always wears. Give him his Koblin (Sig 516) OR the Sig MCX (AR vari MPX) and the P320 as his sidearm (MAKE IT OPTICS READY). As for his gadget… I wouldn’t make it the drone as it is canon in WL/BP that he is NOT a drone expert, actually hates them. I’d make him some sort of “Offensive Smoke Op” maybe even going as far as having him helped develop Smoke’s device originally lol

I think Finka will return to rainbow this season… When we got the first teaser for operation deadly omen theirs a picture of Finka. My best bet is that Deimos is probably hunting Finka because of her father who worked with Sam Fisher so maybe they knew each other or at least were acquainted before Morris joined rainbow? I also think it was Deimos plan to separate Nøkk from Rainbow knowing that she’s a national security threat.

I think the best way to go about the flying drone is instead of a concuss ability it has a zap like zero cams or twitch drones (maybe 2 per drone, 2 total drones). Along with that, give it a certain signal range exactly like both ghost recon games do, and have the signal short out after a specific radius, this would be good balancing as well because it the defenders notice the drone cutting out, they know that 'Nomad' is nearby and not all the way across the map or something.

I would love to see a Ghost Recon crossover. However, in my opinion it would be nicer to maybe look into older games for operator ideas. Ghost Recon Future Soldier takes place in 2024, John Kozak, the main player character in that game, could have some really cool ideas for gadgets such as the sensor grenade or the multi purpose drone that can roll and fly. Including the active camo mechanic could also be interesting, though I do not know how they would balance that exactly. I am sure they could figure out a way to make him more stealth oriented if they wanted to. There would be a lot to play around with when it comes to him, going even further back in the game series. Scott Mitchell could have something like the Glock cornershot. That mechanic was a selling point for that game. It was a weapon system able to look around corners with a camera. For balance, it could be low damage but great for intel and being able to safely peek. The point is, I do not think we have to strictly look at modern Ghost Recon games. The games are too vast, with skill trees and dozens of options for gadgets, drones and weapons and so many ways to play. Older Ghost Recon games were structured more around choosing your loadout and using the resources you had to get you through the long missons. Much like Siege, gameplay involved limited utility and using it correctly and in a smart way to make the most of it. Old Ghost Recon just fits the gameplay of Siege more than modern Ghost Recon does. I mean the UI for picking your loadout in Ghost Recon Future Soldier is very similar to Siege's in -match loadout UI. The last things I would say are that by using a different character we would avoid the nomad debacle, see fan favorite characters from the series we have not seen in years possibly drawing in old school GRAW fans to check it out and expand the community either way I just wanted to give my thoughts and I would love and would be rooting for a crossover modern or old-school.

I'd say they should use kozak, he's still a popular character, has a unique design that fits with the othet operators, has costumes in wildlands and breakpoint, and you don't even have to use a new callsign

Nighthaven Labs and Lair kind of have Breakpoint's architectural aesthetic. Even the planning maps look like the world map in Breakpoint just zoomed in. There's a helipad in both just like most of the locations in Breakpoint. And the semi-subterranean nature of Lair reminds me of the Submarine base in Breakpoint. I'd say they've been toying with GR for a while already. I can see the cinematic/anime short being a helo-landing directly into a base like the Overseer direct-attack strategy in Breakpoint since that sometimes works a little too well when you have teammates turned on, who may simply be Rainbow operators. I think the gadget will be either the sonar vision from Breakpoint's Echelon perk (and explain it away via Sam since the ability is from the Splinter Cell crossover), or the recon grenades. They can call Nomad "Specter" or some other synonym for ghost, or simply make up a new character; the squad has decades of lore behind it. GR is only a couple of years younger than Rainbow Six where the games are concerned. Here's a better idea though: COLE WALKER.

actually the big bad of breakpoint had a similar but seemingly upgraded version if deimos's revolver... I think this is pretty smart and Have thought this and other characters from other ubi games should be involved. an operator from the Watch dogs area would be cool like a hacker op maybe that works like dokki but different? like setting off explosives or other gadgets that actually deal say... 50 dmg if the hack gets off. Maybe someone who watched the rise and fall of the christian cult leader (forgot his name) and then turned his life around and found rainbow. There's limitless options people just have to get ballsy and lean into the fact the games are in the same universe. Like Kudos says they don't need to isolate their games. Also good name choices for nomads callsign could be any of the classes. Could you imagine his name being panther 😩 bada$$$$$$
