The Giant Fish and Chips Challenge

Upon our return to the great city of Dublin, Ireland, Randy and I headed over to the famous Davy Byrnes restaurant in the Grafton neighborhood to take on their Giant Fish and Chips Challenge. Hungry diners have 1 hour to finish a 2kg filet of fried cod, served on a bed of chips and salad, along with a bowl of mushy peas, 10 deep fried gorgonzola bites, and a glass of burgundy! Winners earn their €75 meal for free, a groovy t-shirt, and their spot up on Davy Byrnes' Wall of Fame!

@@devinfoley119 just bc Randy's muscles isn't as defined doesn't mean he's not in shape. His added padding just makes him more handsome, imo. Having zero fat makes you more vulnerable when catching an infection/disease and makes you feel worse when you're hungover

And back when he was “Spartan” shape, he still had a little body fat as all bodybuilders and fitness models do, it’s just an essential tiny layer to survive. Having excess fat actually makes you more susceptible to diseases and illnesses; get your facts straight. It’s toxic material if it just sits there and you don’t use it for fuel.

That's probably the most aesthetically pleasing fish and chips I've seen. Someone should come up with a food challenge that would compliment the cocktail created by Richard Hughes. In his novel, a High Wind in Jamaica. Which was called Handman's Blood with the following ingredients, 1-3/4 parts gin, white rum, whiskey, brandy, 7-1/2 parts stout and 6 part champagne.

Where I'm from in PA, the places that did, and still do the fish fry Fridays always use either cod or haddock, so it's pretty much tradition in my family. As you can tell, I come from good Catholic stock LOL... tried to always do fish on Friday for my dad up until he died in 2018... still do it myself... if I happen to remember that it's Friday, that is...
