Today we're back west of Toronto in a little town called Milton, at a joint called Luigi's Lasagna & Pizzeria, taking on their Super Party Pizza Challenge...
You and up to three of your friends can attempt this sucker for $60 but if you can sink it in the allotted time, you get the meal FREE and your name, plus a message of your choice, written up on their wall of fame. Teams of 3-4 get up to twenty minutes to finish, teams of 2 get up to forty minutes and if you want to go solo, you get a crisp hour on the clock!

Yup, as a Canadian, I feel you on the driving distance. I now live in Germany, but I remember driving around the Greater Toronto area and spending multiple hours traveling to and from. Don't miss it. Congrats on the challenge!

Yup. In Europe you can cross the borders of 11 different countries in 11 hours, IIRC. In Ontario, that wont even get you from Toronto to Thunder Bay. ( 14 hours)

I live near Pittsburgh and there are a lot of major cities within a respectable driving distance...Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Toronto, Detroit, Baltimore, DC, Philly. All can be done in 8 hours or less from here.

As a Canadian yes, 4.5h drives are mid range. I remember when I was out in Gagetown NB I’d drive 12h back to Ottawa 3 times a year and fly twice. Then when I was in petawawa, 3h drives to Kingston every long weekend where the normal.

great one guys, nicely and quickly done. i have Wolseley motor cars, and people often complain that British cars are slow, i point out that in the UK you can drive all day in a slow car and go from one end to the other in a day, in America you can drive the fastest car and it still takes a week to go from east to west. here in Australia we are on the large scale distance wise and i choose my car for the outing distance, the 1948 Wolseley Ten has a top speed of 80kph, so is better for trips under 60km round trip, the 1955 Wolseley 6/90 cruises fantastically at 100kph so is awesome for longer drives.

Man, a four and half hour drive is a normal start to a weekend trip 'round here. I'm in Texas, Fort Worth specifically, and just driving back home to Houston to see my friends and family there is a three and a half hour trip. When I go to a Texans game, the drive back is a four hour trip. Back when I was in college, the drive from my parents' place to the campus was four and a half hours. In fairness, driving like that is tiring. So, I hardly blame you for thinking it's brutal. Having been to Europe before, I kind of envy the relative proximity of things and the extent of the public transport. It'd be nice to, say, hop on a train after work on Friday and ride it down to Galveston for a weekend of fishing, then turn around and come back Sunday night and not be exhausted for work the next day.
