if we start neal at tackle on a prayer and he fups up and we lose those first few games, we play murderers row after that. getting it right in the first few games is more than ordinarily important.

Dumb organizations cling to their high draft pick busts rather than admit their mistake and move on. Outside Thomas these are all question marks, castoffs from other teams, and draft picks that really haven't looked good and until he proves otherwise, that includes JMS who got rag dolled at times last year and looked lost at others. I hope for the best, but I am prepared for a 5-6 win season because we still stink at OL, QB and outside Banks, the secondary.

Agree 100% they need to let guys settle, master their positions, and GEL. But, minicamp is fine just to experiment with different looks and see what might happen. During real training camp, though, decisions need to be made early and committed to. Last year was a disaster with guys moving all over. Decide on your starting 5 early and let them mesh. Become a true unit.

What are we really expecting out of Neal? I mean seriously, he’s been rehabbing an injury during the offseason instead of working and improving his skills. I really don’t see how he wins the RT position.

Yeah, I feel sorry for him. From what I hear, he puts the work in, he's just not any good. I think it's time to try him at guard. If a fat, lazy Erik Flowers did okay with the switch, I think Neil maybe could be a decent starter inside.

@@thomascolbert2687 I think the problem is he sees himself as a starting OT and nothing else. He’s really gonna have to accept the fact that playing Guard is the only way he’s staying in the league. I think he’ll make a decent guard though. Hope he’s open to the change when it happens.

@@notorious_H.A.N most people usually do whatever their boss tells them to do. He's getting paid by the Giants and if the Giants want to move him, he should do it or find somewhere else to go. He really shouldn't have any say in what they do with him, because THEY are paying HIM. Not the other way around.

What really hurts is that KT fell to us at 5 and we STILL got Neal at 7. We all thought it was a draft for the ages. Picks 2-7 except for the OG in 5th are pretty good also

With Bricillo as OL coach I would not be surprised if Kubas shoots up the depth chart in camp and makes the 53.

[OL Plan B] - Sign Greg Van Roten to play RG, move Runyan to LG and move Eluemunor to RT…so [AT-Runyan-JMS-Van Roten-Eluemunor]. Let everybody else battle for depth…and look to upgrade depth after roster cuts if necessary. We need to Evan Neal-proof the OL just in case bro shit the bed frfr

Schoen is set with Eluemenor and Stinnie as Plan B. Van Roten probably wants $3mil 2 guaranteed. Van Roten is big reason they think Bricillo will coach up Neal and JMS. But with only $5mil to to play with b4 season starts they will wait for who works out and who gets injured b4 making any moves over 1.8mil 500k guar.

@@Thagomizer-U235 Neal injury issues appear to be lingering…it’s not even about his play at this point. If Stinnie starts at G when Eluemunor goes to RT then our depth is depleted not to mention Stinnie is better as depth. Ezeudu & McKethan can’t be counted on and the OL is too important to go into the season with a question mark at RT and no real G depth. I’m sure Van Roten would like to play for Bricillo again who coached him to the best play of his career and he’s played next to Eluemunor already too. Schoen needs to crunch numbers and make a move on a 1 yr deal because if the predictable/inevitable happens it will be too late to find a G of starting quality and familiarity with Bricillo when we likely move Eluemunor to RT…and fans will be crying about the OL again😱

The O-line is going to be a patchwork project (again). And that isn't even considering injuries. Daniel Jones is not only a questionable talent, but has been injury-prone. (Some of the blame goes to the O-line.). Where or when will this end??

The placement of Jermaine and runyan is stupid. At some point this coaching staff if going to need to explain these decisions. We have enough o line issues without adding musical chairs to it.

The Giants still lack talent on the line, and their depth is not reliable enough to perform adequately if a starter goes down. It's been nearly 14 seasons of subpar play from the OL. Cooper Beebe should have been a suitable choice for the third rd pick; instead, we find ourselves once again hoping for the best.

And the guy we brought in to compete with big baby, is practicing at guard and not given the chance to compete at RT. Neal is a bust. Bench him and make him earn it. Daboll is a bad coach.
