I played your Gibb road videos backwards 3 then 2 and 1 because thats the direction I took - I was taken back in time 7 years thank you so very much for these videos. You had an adventure that few people take... wonderful. Brilliant reminder of bell Gorge

Another great episode guys. Loved following you as you explored all the wonderful gorges. 😎 Interestingly, the family you see in the background at Galvans Gorge when Danny is captured in mid air, is another family doing a big trip much like yours. They call themselves Going Overland. I am following you both here on YT. It seems many of the travelling families that I follow were all on the Gibb River Road at the same time. 🙂
@ebonywaugh72713 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think you’re right about that. In fact apart from Going Overland I think we did it before some of the others. I still have to check Going Overland out. I think you’ve mentioned them before actually.

Great vid, I didn't know dad could do backflips,🤣🤣🤣 he can't, 🤸 What an adventure for the kids, also educational. We wanted to do those trips in the 70s, but didn't work out , Was a station hand in my younger days, Happy safe travels Regards Bevan from Sapphire Central Queensland 🤠🇦🇺❤️

Hi Bevan. That’s right, no backflips here, not even in our earlier years 😆. Yep it’s an epic adventure especially for the kids. Being a station hand would have been a big adventure too, I bet you’ve got heaps of great stories.

Great to see the whole family is enjoying the Gibb River Road. The Gorges are fantastic. I've been fortunate enough to have done the Gibb a few times and enjoyed it immensely every time. Lots to see and do. Keep up the good work, love following your travels. We hope to be up that way next year.
@ebonywaugh72713 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Wow, you’ve done it a few times?! That’s very adventurous. Has the road been much different on the different times?
@michaelbianco20393 жыл бұрын
@@ebonywaugh7271 it depends on when the grader went through. It was much the same each time although some sections were rougher than others. I must admit we weren't towing a caravan, but we did do all the Gorges, Kalumburu and Mitchell Plateau, Mornington Station, the Karunjie Track etc, etc. Lots to see and do. We will be towing a caravan next time though and doing it in luxury. You seem to be doing it OK, and good to see you Ebony, tackling some of those tracks.

Absolutely enjoyed this episode as I did the others. Missed your rambling session. The footage was bl:::::y marvellous, some of those fresh water crocs looked rather large and a bit scary. I think Ace could do with a neck pillow on those rough roads but he has no trouble falling asleep. Your episode and commentary sure makes the trip across the Gibb very inviting,thanks for sharing your journey keep on enjoying yourselves. Looking forward to your episode and your posts

Thanks Jim 🙏. Ha, yes Ace could definitely do with a neck pillow, we should invest in one of those 👍. No rambling for this one but we’ll bring it back next episode 👍

Sorry about that Nicholas, we're trying to fix it. Unfortunately we've filmed the Gibb already so we can't use a better mic for these episodes. We're seeing what we can do for future ones though.

Thanks. I have started watched quite a few GRR videos in preparation for my own adventure. Really enjoyed this - don't know what it is that makes this one of the better videos I have watched, perhaps a good balance between road, gorge walking, campsites or maybe just AA (Awesome Ace) and his dancing. Now off to watch some of your other episodes. PS am about to get myself a GoPro - I am hoping you may have an episode where you may mention the good/bad of it and what accessories you find useful - here's hoping!
@ebonywaugh72713 жыл бұрын
Hiya! Thanks for that great review of our GRR episode, really appreciate it. Love the ‘AA’ Ace will love that 😆❤️ We love his dances and songs that he keeps making up. Re the go pro, it’s hard to comment because that’s all we’ve used so don’t have much to compare it to. The one we use in the car is very old and we get comments that the sound on it isn’t great. The one we normally use is pretty good but again, hard to compare to similar products in the market. Sorry we couldn’t be more help with that.

No snorkel, no worries? I’m looking at doing the GRR though I needed a snorkel?
@onthewaughpath65522 жыл бұрын
Hey - we don't have a snorkel and there was only 1 crossing that we couldn't do without it. But it will obviously depend on when you're doing it. We did it at the end of the dry season. Waters will be higher at the start, and depending on how wet the season is.

Just binging your whole series. Great videos😊 We had a similar coffee situation coming out of Cobbold Gorge in NQ last year. Ours was worse as a carton of long life milk wore through and leaked everywhere and mixed together🤢 Lucky it was our non dairy drinker's rice milk - it could have been far worse🤣

What software/hardware do you use to edit ya videos?? do you keep all the videos on external HDD?
@onthewaughpath65523 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. We use a program on our apple mac. Storage is very annoying - we have a lot on our external HD. We like to edit them with the files on the computer as it's faster, and when done we move the whole file to the external HD.
