Great episode guys. We were up at Honeymoon Bay waaaay back in about 2010 ish. The corrugations from the Gibb up to Drysdale were so bad that my hubby reckoned that if he had an old Troopy with a manual throttle, he would have pulled it on and gotten out and walked. And That last bit of road from the Mitchell Falls turn off through to Kalumburu took us 6 hours. We were one of the first vans in for the season so the road was still a mess from the wet. We camped back away from the beach, but a young backpacker put up a tent on the beach, against the advice of the caretakers, and the following morning there were croc tracks around his tent. He moved if fairly quick smart. We were amazed to see you guys camped right on the beach. We also had our tinny out and hubby and a mate had the same issue as you guys...... could not stop the fish. They were so big they just could not get them in the boat. I then developed a huge abcess on my jaw and was in agony. The thought of traveling back out on those corrugations had me running up to the medical centre in Kalumburu for the strongest pain killers they could give me. Not to worry though, the grader was just ahead of us and we had a brilliant drive out but we had to miss all the gorges on the way out to Broome in order to get medical attention for me. So I'm really looking forward to your next instalment, so I can see what I missed.

Back in 84 we did that same track with an old Valliant which had no lock at the back hood. So after opening that for taking our canned food everything was always covered in red dust. You all have a great time over there with your can´s of Emu export
