I’ve had that Leatherman for several years now as a EDC. It’s a perfect size for a pocket…not too big, not too small. I also have several different versions of it.

I found a silver Kaweco Sport like the one you showed on the ground at my job a few years ago. I always pick up pens on the ground, you never know it'll be a good one or not. Last pen on the ground I found was a Fisher Space Pen. Found a Cross Classic years ago dumpster diving, it's my favorite everyday pen to use, it feels nice in the hand and it just flows across the page so effortlessly when writing. It was in with a bag of probably 50-60 other pens when someone was getting rid of a bunch of office stuff, only good quality pen of the bunch.

One thing I bought for the day to day is slightly fancy leather phone case from a company called torro based out of Newcastle. I wanted something with a bit style and once I heard it was from the north east I decided it was the case for me. (I'm not from Newcastle but from Middlesbrough. Up the Boro!) Nice to support a business from my neck of the woods

The Kaweco Brass Sport pen is an absolute classic. My wife bought me the fountain pen version for my birthday and it has been in my pocket every day since. Out of all the stuff I own and use on a day to day basis, this little pen is the item I would be totally gutted if I lost and would need to replace in a heartbeat.

Civivi Elementum would be my knife recommendation if region of manufacturing is no obstacle. Small enough but still usefull. Still gentlemanly. You won't cry yourself to sleep should you misplace it. Check one out if you can! The civivi nox is a solid oone as well if you prefer the look of metal type scales

If you’re going to recommend knives I suggest putting a little for research in to it. The titanium knife you have linked shows two different steels under the description and materials. At the price point it is not very recommendable, especially if it is using the 14c28n steel listed under materials. The leatherman is also not the best value for money imo. Here’s a few I would recommend: CJRB Pyrite- costs under 70 and is a great bang for buck with a cool fidget factor. Benchmade bugout- very lightweight American made knife for around 160. Chris reeves sebenza- Stellar reputation in the folding knife community. Heirloom quality made in the USA 🇺🇸

My edc other than two keys (shed and house, don’t have a car) and key ring is the Victorinox Classic SD Alox and… a 2 metre measure tape. Can’t say exactly why, but that gets a lot of use. My daily bag for the last few years is by Christos over at Sailsmith, but sadly the website is down right now. Mine is a mini duffle but he makes marine type bags (including totes, obviously) out of incredibly robust cotton canvas - I suggest that a local maker of this type would be a good source for such.

Recommendation for German residents. Per German law, you can carry either locking knives with 2 hand operation, or one handed non locking knives. For this i would recommend the Kizer Zipslip in titanium. Classy looking yet robust and doesn’t look offensive. I’m from the US and would still recommend it to anyone. Also, I usually have a lot of trouble with piezo ignition lighters so I prefer butane lighters with flint ignitions. IM Corona lighters are a little pricier than zippos with butane inserts (but nowhere near the price of a Dunhill or ST Dupont), but with proper care they will last forever. Most models have a classic look to them and they are made in Japan, so I think thats a bonus as well for selvedge denim enthusiasts.

Decent list brother. As far as the Knife goes. Leatherman is good, but all I can say is: Kershaw, Kershaw, Kershaw. I've had my super slim skeletonized one for years and wouldn't get anything else. Also, the clip is removable and it has the "flippy outty thing".

I carry bandana, knife (because of living in the city and all the sketchy people on the street), ear plugs for concerts. I don't even carry a wallet or watch, just a card and some cash for a drink/meal/tip and my ID. Try to be as basic as possible. Having a bottle opener and a screwdriver on your keychain can be helpful as well.
@503punxoioioi92 жыл бұрын
@@didamnesia3575 Same can be said for a screwdriver. It's usually a situation when someone else needs help and asks if you have anything on you to unscrew/screw something. Last thing I used mine for was when I was out and found a large pet carrier for free to resell, too big to get in my car, unscrewed the pieces w/ my keychain screwdriver and was able to put half the carrier in my backseat and half in my trunk. Very useful.

Sorry about the knife thing on the previous video. The thing about pocket knives is the number of options at various price points. It's hard to recommend what to get and easier to say no. Good start is look up a KZbin video by someone that focuses on knives, not as an afterthought for them. Neeves Knives, Metal Complex are 2 big channels but both are honest. To replace the WESN. I'd look at QSP Penguin in full titanium. Better steel and handle options. I have 3 Penguins, 2 titanium and 1 in denim Micarta. Penguins start at about $40 and go up to $150 US depending on material. Now, if you want a bigger player the Chaves 229 Redencion Street is full titanium with great steel but it's expensive at $300 US. There's also TwoSun, they have a vast selection and great prices. All well made.
