I'd recommend against plastic water bottles and instead go for glass or stainless steel. Even BPA-free bottles basically replaced BPA with other, less studied chemicals that will end up leaching into the water and end up in your body. Add to that all the recent news on microplastics found in our bodies and in the environment, I think the best idea is just to avoid plastic whenever there are practical alternatives available.

The biggest change in my life has been an electric shaver. I am bald, and it was such a chore to shave my head everyday. Now I can shave my face and head in three minutes as part of a standard shower with no cleanup. It's a game changer.

I’m curious too. My beard destroys razors and the electric shavers I’ve tried too fast. I’ve gone to double edge and they seem to be the best for me but went back to just having a beard and a buzz cut every three weeks. I use a razor for details only. It would be nice to have another option.

I used to use Braun, but Braun stopped to deliver a really close shave maybe 15 years ago. Panasonic did deliver. But blades and foils for my Panasonic are getting harder to buy, and more experience, year by year. I'm a bit special. My skin can tolerate a beard only for a limited time. I'm 56 years old now, and "beard" is now a week, max, before I need to shave. Naturally, my skin hates shaving. Shaving every day is...well, not as bad as not shaving for ten days, but it's not really fun either. Luckily, shaving once or twice a week looks reasonably good on me. As long as I wear t-shirts, formal shirts are a different story. What I liked about the latest Braun I tried was that my skin had no problems with the shaving process. It was just that I couldn't wear a formal shirt with a necktie without getting mad. The shave just wasn't close enough. Probably less of an issue today; at 56 years of age, people now often respect me without a necktie.

Instead of purchasing longer charging cables, I recommend using an extension board. Charging cables carry DC current, which is more susceptible to loss than AC, leading to slower charging. To mitigate this, the cable would need to be thicker and have lower resistance. Furthermore, replacing an extension board is much more cost-effective than replacing a charger. An added benefit is if the extension board includes surge protection.

1. A USB charging hub. Charge everything (smartphone, flashlight, wireless earphones, smartwatch etc.) at once and be done with it for the day. 2. A tiny keychain Swiss Army knife. It has the small blade AND (depending on the model) small screwdrivers, nailfile, tweezers, scissors, bottle opener, some even have a ballpoint pen and it's really comfortable to use. I recommend the Victorinox Rambler or the Midnite Manager. 3. Similarly a tiny keychain flashlight (I carry the Olight i1R 2 EOS). This and the keychain SAK are perfect for most urban needs and you won't even have to think about them because your keychain is always nearby anyway. 4. A small EDC pouch (small enough to fit on your belt) with your ID, debit card, small bandages, some spare change and emergency contacts.

Speaking about saving money - just one point about the sponsor of this video. In some countries, in mcluding where I live, you can get very good in-person (or via zoom) therapy services for less than BetterHelp charges. Therapy takes time, so an extra $10 per session ends up making a big difference if you do it for years. No hate on them, maybe for US standards their prices are competitive, but I'm sure in many countries you'll be better off just visiting a therapist in person.

@@prettyboishah2898 it depends which country you're currently residing. There are plenty of options in the states. I currently live in canada and i have purchased from vivobarefoot. I also had my aunt bring me a pair of flux footwear when she visited from the states. Been wearing them for all of summer and they work great. I got these brands from a website called "anya's reviews". I also saw a few brands on my ads and on youtube. I recommend looking up reviews to see what fits your needs. For a starter pair, crocs are good because theyre widely available. I first learned of barefoot shoes through squat university's youtube channel and my life has changed. My plantar fasciitis is gone, pain at the big toe is gone, ankle and knee pain have been reduced and my lower back and hips are stronger. I have also managed to reduced my ingrown toenail. It's crazy how much better i'm walking and i honestly recommend everyone to give them a try. Start off small, with a wide toe box before you go zero drop, because it may hurt you when you're walking on concrete with no cushioning, while wearing a barefoot shoe with zero drop (check out flux shoes. Altra running also has good cushioning for running, but imo the goal should be less cushioning outside sportd). Good luck ! 😊

Great list! Very sensible and well thought out. I was always skeptible of "premium" boxers until I mistakenly bought a $13 pair that were on sale for $8. Since then I've been converted. But as you said, just because a pair of boxers exceeds $10 doesn't mean they're great for everyone. 32Degrees Mesh Boxers is my favorite budget premium brand. Separate is another one I've recently become fond of. Contigo is a superb budget brand for water bottles AND travel coffee mugs. I also love how easy they are to clean/wash. I like the idea of a mini pocket knife on a keychain, but having been stopped by over zealous TSA agents, I quickly abandoned this as I've had to part ways with these many knives on more than one occasion even after showing that the blade was much less than 2-inches.

I recommend a getting a vacuum insulated water bottle. It keeps your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot for hours! I got a Yeti and it was 100% worth every penny I spent, especially in those cold winter months.

I hate stretchy belts. Stretch prevents a belt from doing its job. Haven't found underwear at the price point of Tommy John that comes close to Tommy John. Best and easiest place to get matching wood hangers on the cheap is usually Ikea. Added bonus is they're the retailers most likely to still have the same type of hangers available 5 or 10 years later. Your mileage may vary. Use only as directed.

100% agree with matching hangers. Just did my closet with 1 style of velvet rose gold hanger and it looks so much better and the clothes sit way nicer together so less wrinkles

I strongly agree with the watch, a pair of good shoes and socks. One of the first things I bought after getting my job was a pair of shoes (not too expensive though) and socks. One of the best purchases I made at that time of my life.

A Victorinox pocket knife (called Manager) for around €25. Two knives, two screwdrivers, toothpick, scissors, even a ballpen included (which I always forget). Especially when you have little kids (mine are teenagers now) and have to change those batteries of their toys all the time - the screwdrivers are indispensable!

something i find very useful is buying and carrying a second wallet. one for extra cash , papers , id's, credit cards, licenses and other stuff you do not need that often. and carry an other for everyday use like with a little money and a banking card you use most. the few times i lost my wallet was after using it like leaving it on counter or missing your back pocket, example is part of your shirt goes in your pocket and it pulls the pocket out later.

Instead of the Casio F105W I recommend the W86. It has the same electroluminescent backlight, it has higher water resistance at 50m and its strap is also more supple.

A few thoughts: 1) Would not recommend BetterHelp. I understand the convenience and cost, but their business practices have not been kosher. Psychology Today has a huge network of psychotherapists for literally every need, and though you may pay more, it's worth it. Speaking as the brother of a psychotherapist and someone who's been in therapy for many years. 2) I understand what you're saying about Contigo--but my toddler was able to destroy my Contigo, and so far my Hydroflasks are standing strong. So I'll stick with Hydroflask. 3) People, please don't put supima cotton tees in the dryer. You'll shorten their lifespan exponentially. I find the Airism shirts are better from Uniqlo, anyway. 4) 100% on good socks and underwear. Unless you're doing extremely physically demanding labour, paying a bit more upfront for comfort, sweat-wicking, durability is so much better. Not to mention most of the good brands of each have dependable warranties.

Not $50, but you never know if you catch a good deal, a travel steamer. A good portable/travel clothing steamer goes a long way. If you take a few neutral colored polos, tees, and a white or light blue OCBD shirt, and avoid sweating, you can expand your travel wardrobe for a good week. My spring and summer travel tops breakdown, (1) navy polo shirt, (3) tees - black, white, sky blue - works against my skin tone, (1) light blue OCBD shirt.

Alum powder. If you get canker sores frequently it’s the best thing you can buy. Just rub some on the sore as soon as you start to notice it and it will be gone much sooner and hurt way less.

Ik you dont like them but Hydroflask is easily my most used item since I bought it 4 years ago. 40 oz so its a bit clunky but honestly the sweet spot for amount of water I drink over a workday or out playing sports. If you dont care too much about looks buy a open box one or one that has a dent already. I mean your already gonne be tossing it around lol. Just put a sticker over the dent and ur good

Contigo water bottle is durable. Seeing my father-in-law using it daily and the hook broke and pushed on until the some mechanism finally gave up due to age, after like 5+ years. However, I don't like that one can't throughly clean evey inch of the botyle as you can't dismantle all parts for brushing. I came across the laboratory analysis on water bottle and mould growth by CNA Insider titled 'Is you reusable water bottle a hotbed for harmful bacteria & mould? " The other recommendation you have is good. Thanks and haooy weekend.

Yeah there’s no way I’m swapping out my Apple Watch Ultra for one of those watches Yes I have to charge it But I just put it on the charger when I’m in the shower every other day and except that I wear it 24/7 It tracks my sleep and it helped me fix my sleep schedule And I love seeing notifications on it cause I don’t even have to pull my phone out often, unless something important happens. Also im Australian, lots of swimming is important and I love being able to track it Water bottle I have a ridiculously overpriced water bottle called the hidrate spark pro (1L version)

Can I just say, Philips is the way to go for electric toothbrushes. I've had two Braun ones in the past and both failed after a few years. The Philips is still going strong after 6 and is much better quality in the first place. The cleaning is better and it needs charging way less often. I also use the pickers, but I feel bad every time I do because it's so much disposable plastic.

I was recently researching this as I retired my Oral-B some months ago just prior to a vacation. I'm not sure how many years I had it; probably close to 10. I wound up getting the Sonicare 4100 this time around to try something new, though both seem to be well-loved by their respective camps. I didn't love it from the start.... which was my fault. It has a 'sensitive' setting, which apparently is its default setting. Fortunately it was either the second or third time using it I hit the power button during brushing and the normal setting kicked in. That sucker vibrates your skull. Which is really the main difference: Oral-B for more spinning with a round head; Sonicare for a vibrating, somewhat traditional albeit smaller oval head.
