The Gift of Color ( Enchroma Color Blind Glasses Reveal)!

Thank you all so much for watching our channel Know Where to Go, where we spend time together and explore family friendly places for people of all ages .👍
My Aunt and Uncle were moved by seeing videos of people being gifted Enchroma/color blind glasses, so they decided to surprise me with a pair! The video begins with me watching a surprise reveal video from the both of them as I arrive at the Botanical Gardens.
My wife then records me at a decorated spot at the Gardens as I open the Enchroma (Protan) sunglasses, seeing colors for the first time! I also walk through the Botanical Gardens, seeing the true colors of Mother Nature as they were meant to be seen. Such a wonderful gift, and I encourage anyone whom is color-blind, or knows someone who is color-blind to consider them. Thank you again so much!

This lady has the voice of a Disney princess, and I'm loving it! And thankfully there's not a bunch of family members berating him with with questions. He's being allowed to explore on his own for the most part, and ask his own questions as he takes it all in on his own terms. The helping hands are there if and when needed, but the whole experience is perfect! This is what these enchroma videos should all be like!

@@knowwheretogo3974 I am partially color blind myself. My browns aren't exactly right. It wasn't enough to keep me out of the service but I struggle sometimes seeing things in the desert. We were jungle fighters. I have been wanting to get my hands on a pair of these glasses.

I agree. I love children, but they usually don't handle this experience well.They are not used to an adult getting all the attention, and at their stage of development, it's normal to want to deflect to themselves, so they often constantly demand to try the glasses or get the person's attention away from what they are trying to do and see. In normal times, no big deal, but for this, they really just need to let the person experience this life altering moment without badgering them. But most of them just can't do it. Also, other adults often get uncomfortable with the emotions displayed, so they resort to making jokes to ease their discomfort. This one had none of that.

I've watched a lot of Enchroma videos and this is one of my favorites. Just good people and it clearly means so much to you all, thank you for filming it and sharing it. These videos make me wish I was colorblind so I could experience this myself! And there is pink in the sky, we just mainly see the blue, but if you think of a sunset there's pink and orange up there too.

This was incredibly cool. I have seen quite a few of these videos over the past couple of days, but this is now my favourite. How the family lets you take it all in, and how you really soak it all up. The bricks. The flowers. The petals and all the little details that the average person would overlook. The excitement as you explore is truly awesome to see. In a sense, I sort of envy you. What you said at the end rings true. Since we cannot see what you and other colourblinds see, we can never truly appreciate it to the extent it should be, given what colour does to/for our world. I envy you that experience. I just love her patience and the feminity, caring tone of her voice. Its so peacefull. Letting him go on his pace without rushing him and just being with him in the moment, just so lovely. He also got a such a kind heart thinking he doesnt deserve it because it costs so much money, just indicates how much he gives on a daily basis that to him its almost foreign to receive(typical midset to hardworking fathers). Every single color blind person needs this on their face insurance should absolutely cover this!! I’ve been blessed with seeing color not 20/20 can’t see from far and Also have an astigmatism so I could not see perfectly but at least can see colors. I just love how patient Everyone was with him
