Very interesting this. Unfortunately i feel these ideas first hand. Trained super hard for years, pushing it day in day out for years then i eventually bulged a disc at l5/s1. Now im trying to solve the problem but its proving very difficult and it does impact other areas of life. Got to be careful and consider your priorities and other aspects of life. Wish i had at the time!

Hey bro, how has it gone 4 years later? I practice powerlifting and also have L4 L5 S1

@@MarceloChipana Hi Marcelo, thanks for asking. I’m doing alright. Still got back pain and some referred pain but I am still exercising. Not squatting and deadlifting but I am in the gym a few times a week doing a lot of pull ups and benching and things that don’t stress the lower back. I try and do abs as often as possible and I hope that helps. Sitting for ling periods of time is pretty hard going and I try and make sure I all every day even if just for 20 minutes. I could be better at spinal hygiene, as Stuart McGill says but I am always trying to improve. Best wishes to you, any other questions just ask!

So, in Crossfit, I need my body to be really mobile and really strong at the same time, and you're saying that is a problem? If so, how to deal with that?

Emilia Queiroz same way strongman do, pick what you're good at and sacrifice certain events
