I have this card, I upgraded from a 1650s and cant be happier. Only complaint I have about this gpu is that it gets super loud sometimes and makes coil whine noise

Yeah mine had bad coil whine since new and actually stopped booting eventually after 6 months of use. They made me pay for shipping but they did fix it, now it boots and no coil whine.

I just ordered one to run with my 4750G Pro on an MSI x570 Gaming Plus (OC on 4,4GHz, 4x8GB Ripjaws V 3600-CL14 (OC 3766-CL14)), despite the PCI-e 3.0 limitation of the APU, the bandwidth wouldn't get saturated :) This makes me feel like it's a good buy over a 2nd-handed 5700 XT which what I was going to do (also considered a 5700 with a forced flash to a 5700 XT), but there's too much "I promised this wasn't used for mining"-options on the used marketplaces. I feel this is the better choice. There is a question about the seemingly "rattling" of the fans on higher RPM (though my case is on the floor and I'm running a Define R6, so noise might not be such an issue), if this does prove to be a problem, can I use 3rd party solutions? Not affraid to modify or perhaps as simple as changing the paste for say, MX-4 or similar? Edit: Re-pasting (having checked the comments) seems to be a good idea, helping the somewhat mediocre cooling of the card. I've got 2x fans bottom, 2x fans front intake, 1x exhaust back and an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 in push, that ought to help the card cool better, I suspect? Edit 2: If not, I could use a Raijintek Morpheus 8057 (got 2 spare Be Quiet Silent Wings 2) as an alternative (I know, I could buy a better card :P), but this is fun too!

When these drop well below £300 on Amazon I will seriously be tempted to upgrade the GTX 1060 6GB. Gigabyte Radeon RX 6650 XT GAMING OC dropped to £308. Am sure there will be more price cuts with the soon to be released Radeon RX 7600.

I have just build my new PC Gigabyte Rx 6650 XT Eagle paired with 5600 non X The card runs too hot and reaching temperatures 80 degree C and Hot Spot at 100+ degree C What you suggest, I should do?

You can setup a custom fan profile to have a higher fan speed. You can speed up or add exhaust fans to your case.

Great review! Can you compare the fan noise of this card to anything else (ideally similar tier coolers like the Asus Dual, MSI Mech or Sapphire Pulse)? I've heard that the Eagle is much louder than the competition, but there's a really good sale on it here in Germany right now, so I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the noise. Also, have you tried undervolting?

Thank you, I have a RX 6600 Sapphire Pulse that I started testing (I think they're the same fans as the RX6650XT) but my game drive failed, so I paused testing. about undervolting, I did play with it, but I could only undervolt the Eagle 45mv (so a 2-3C drop @ 40dBA)

Turn up the fans... make sure the rear screws are all tight...

Ended up ordering this because it was only €340, and I've been stuck with a 570 4gb for years. Still waiting for it to arrive but a bit disappointing about the thermals and noise. Would probably have spent extra for a better cooler. Prices in EU are a pain, a 6700/6700xt would be ideal for 1440p gaming.

was it the Gigabyte Eagle? or the Gigabyte Gaming OC? Now I haven't tested the Nitro+, but if it's the Gigabyte Eagle you found I would Nitro+ It will likely cool as well if not better than the Eagle and it will be quieter doing so. If it's the Gaming OC they would likely be pretty much the same... so which one do you think looks nicer.

I plan on getting the gigabyte 6550 xt GAMING OC for my pc that has a 5700g, b550-a motherboard, and corsair icue 220t rgb. Would you say this is a solid pick with no issues?

I have the Gamic OC Trifan Gigabyte Versión, it can top to 3000 Mhz and 0 Issues and problems i have with Nvidia, with this GPU AMD take me in love. It's the better money i feel i pay for a component.

Esta 6650 xt gaming oc se ve de lujo. Tu que la tienes crees que valga los extra 40 usd. la otra es la msi mech x2 por 300 usd ya con impúestos/envio.

@@luissalgado7831 Depende, van a ser unos 5 -10 FPS más por el buen oc que se le puede meter, además de que tengo los 3 fans en 35% todo el tiempo, y la gráfica nunca pasa de 60 -62° , eso sí hay que configurarlos manual, porque si suben a 50 % todos 3, eso parece una turbina de avión 😂. También tiene mejor precio de venta, las gráficas de 3 fans son super apetecidas. Está semana subire una Review para que veas un poco 💯

The difference is in the coolers, the FPS will be 2-3% or FPS depending on the game.

Technically maybe... But not so much because of PCI 4.0, but because it's a 400 series motherboard and resizable bar is not enabled. Which can actually hurt performance in some games, but in other games can greatly improve it.

Sorry about that. So, some video cards can have worse results when using PCIe 3.0, but those cards will be the extreme low end (RX 5500xt an lower) and the extreme high end (RX 6800xt and higher). Why this is can get confusing, so I won't get too in to it. The throughput of the mid-range cards from both AMD and Nvidia is lower than the max throughput of PCIe 3.0. Is that good enough or do you want more details?
