I have one that looks gold and has D1 on the bottom.. Can you please tell me anything about it you know

The nickel toggle is a mis-match to that set. It doesn't have the serial number on the bottom of the razor head. All razors that came in the deluxe pigskin set up, have serial numbers on the bottom of the razor head and that serial number matches the serial number found on the warranty card.

Very nice video. But, the date code for the 1958 version is D1 not D2.

I actually have a gold D-1 toggle that has the nice leather carrying case, it belonged to my great grandfather. Anyone have an idea as to how much it is worth?

That's right - though I clean up my neck with a straight razor from under my chin to below my Adams apple! If I don't I look like a grizzly bear ;)

Your 1-5 Toggle is broken as it should have an audible click. I have one which is in very gently used condition and it has a distinct tactile and audible click when adjusting.

It would be fun to refit one of those oversized display razors, and turn it into a mechanical lawn mower.

Interesting...a toggle, to speed up the blade change. Nobody should be in THAT much of a hurry while shaving. Am I right?
