I used to work at the front of one of the biggest Renaissance Faire's in the world and I NEVER thought about it until this podcast, but I was a completely different person at work than I was after work. Definitely went from being super hyper and loud to all of a sudden complete nothingness for HOURS afterwards. Sometimes I would hang with friends but it would be very VERY rare because of how little energy I had after work. I even forgot to eat after work about half the time and could barely even eat at work because I was wearing a super tight corset for 12+ hours. It was still one of the best jobs I've ever had though. I was able to bring magic, whimsy, and happiness to thousands of people each day, people who probably really needed it, just very exhausting after it's all over each day.

The thigh gap thing brings me back to the depths of my ED. 😂 The funny thing is, it has more to do with hip width than fat. Of course a skinny person with wider hips will have one, but a heavier/fitter person with wide hips can, too.

Thigh gaps absolutely gave people eating disorders. The point wasn't to show if you're healthy or not just that you're skinny, especially for girls/women. I'm so glad its not as big of a thing anymore. I was in high school during that time. It sucked

My pimple popping method: use antibacterial soap on hands wash under nails everything plus I don’t wear acrylic nails bc they have bacteria… then I wash my face with a gentle face soap (I use vanicream) and pop the pimple(s) with it on and then I wash my face a second time so the bacteria from inside the pimple don’t stay in my face and cause more break outs. Then I wash my face with panoxyl. Make sure it lathers and u leave it on ur face for a minute to 3 minutes depending on your skins tolerance to It. I do this to kill any other bacteria that might make more pimples or could go back inside the pimple I just popped. Then I follow with grass fed beef tallow bc since it’s just beef fat our skin absorbs it way faster than any regular moisturizer made of chemicals ur skin barrier has to adjust to. Throughout the week while the pimple is heeling I put adapalene gel to speed up the process of skin healing and cell regeneration. Clears up a pimple in just a few days in my experience. I’m not a dermatologist or anything this is just what I do rn

i'm an esthetician and if you pop a zit that's clearly ready to pop you'll be fine. the issue is when you try to force it or if you do it with dirty hands
@gnomecrossing2 ай бұрын
Esthetician Bro here 🙋🏻♀️ The reason we don’t want you to pop your pimples is because if you do it incorrectly it can rupture down further into the lower layers of the skin causing scarring and spreading bacteria. Whereas in a clean and professional environment with proper technique we can make sure 1.its ready to be extracted 2. We use professional product that loosens sebum making for easier extraction 3. Follow up with products to kill bacteria and prevent the spread and promote the healing ❤

Work trips are 30% work and 70% play. There are definitely opportunities for people to mingle, flirt, and drink with one another. Besides just the actual event people will go offsite to bars to keep the party going! This is some of the only chances people get to have fun all expenses paid 😂

STORY : I was being nice to my chat gpt asking it silly questions and them my bf grabbed my phone as a joke and said "dont talk to my gf!" and it actually apologized and said it wouldnt talk to me again because if the bf doesnt feel comfortable with someone to their gf, it means its breaking boundaries. and it said " Im not wanting to break human relationships and boundries between them" and then like i kept asking about it, it said so many silly things about not wanting to talk with people in relationships. no jokes haha but then lucky its a silyl AI and forgot so that I could use it again. but ngl you should try it hahahah

BUMPER CARS: lucas i’ve had the same thought and jacob googling it did help, and then the magnet thing too, but HERE IS MY SOLUTION: either eliminate cars altogether, have them go MUCH SLOWER, have everyone have the exact same standardized car, put cars on tracks, or program every car and traffic light to sync up under the same interface, if anything malfunctions just shut down the entire system so no one can crash during the outage

So for years, I worked as a chef at a Marriott in Orlando, Florida in the catering department. I would say a good 50% of our production was for corporate meetings. For instance one time they had two managers from every Chick-fil-A location sent to Florida for a week. The company would pay for their flights and rooms. Their days were full of inspiring speeches and meet and greet they may go over financial goals, etc. After the sun goes down, these people go absolutely wild and become feral. Shots! appetizers! Laughing, screaming,falling over. It makes for great people watching.

As long as your face and your hands are clean, you can pop a zit. Just don’t use your fingernails. You don’t want to gauge your skin or possibly introduce cellulitis or MRSA to your open skin. (Those often live under your nails and cleaning under them isn’t necessarily going to remove it all.)
@Mondial7142 ай бұрын
So, as a corporate girlie, what usually happens on those company trips are yes, boring slideshows but afterwards it depends if you’re there with your work bestie or not because if you are, you would probably sneak out from the hotel and go wild. But yes, those pesky coworkers will talk about you if they see you sneak out from the hotel so it’s also a test on which person you can trust. But overall, it’s just a meeting that could’ve been emailed if I’m being honest
