Fun fact: the ORIGINAL original was on the first floor of Mall of America, which did have themed restrooms, and they moved it to the third floor a few years ago. The original also had massive live fish tanks built into the architecture. RIP

Holy shit, I forgot about those fish tanks until this comment. They were pretty cool. I just remember the animal butt stools at the bar and thinking how cool it would be to be a grown up who is a regular at the rainforest cafe bar so you always had the cheetah stool or whatever.

I was going to say something similar. The one that used to be in the KC area (actually in a mall on the KS side) - I sat at the bar and it was a huge aquarium and I thought it was so "rad" as Jacob said. Also it was the first time I tried coconut shrimp which I really enjoyed and never forgot.

There's a Rainforest Cafe in Galveston, and it has a volcano, that erupts every 30 minutes when it gets dark. It even has a ride. I kinda like going there.

Imagine having a headache and the fact you have to yell over all of the other noise. When I waitressed the worst was having to be nice to ppl that were rude to you. It breaks my heart in America so many wait staff don’t even get minimum wage and mostly get by on tips. One of the hardest jobs especially when you’re getting all the drinks, food, bills, cleaning tables yourself.

I only went there once so I don't really remember all that chaos but it was so cute when Lucas said he suffered trauma for the anticipation and unexpectedness of it. I'm from Minnesota and it's always so funny to see people come and visit. MOA can be a wild experience in the rainforest or really anywhere. Honestly, not many of the restaurants have good food. You just kinda get sucked into eating there after shopping all day and the novelty of it. Most locals avoid the mall completely lol

Omg I didn't even realize they still had these restaurants, I remember the VOL...CA...NO! So no doubt you guys get loads of suggestions for places to check out, but have I got a place for you; Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo CA. The two restaurants are bougie, VERY pink throughout, and wonderfully gaudy, to top it off the men's bathroom has a real rock waterfall for a multi person urinal, yes seriously! The Inn itself has all themed rooms, some of which are really over the top! I know Cali is pretty far for you guys but def. check it out online, I think it's right up your alley and would def. be worth your while, not to mention the central coast of Cali where this is located is pretty awesome if I do say so myself! That OG rainforest location needs to step up their game!! The one I grew up next to in grapevine Texas still lowkey is slaying to this day, themed bathrooms, and cute little fish tanks. We are from NZ and my daughter dreamt of going to Disney to the rainforest cafe! We finally got there and had one of the worst meals ever! Waitress was rude, literally slid the plates across the table, with the coleslaw was caught as it flew off the table (we are so polite to wait staff). Mac n cheese was cold and pasta hard, the rest was pretty much the same! We joke now that the burrito out of a ladies in a car boot at a bus station in Santa Ana was way better! Your looks so much better!

No live birds anymore due to money. Initially the Disneyland location had it in their contract that they'd always have birds no matter what, however that location conveniently got closed eventually. So no more locations with birds now. Some locations don't even have fish, because how much it costs just to have the fish in the tanks. Only know that because I watched Eddy and Ted's videos on going to every Rainforest Cafe. They noticed and looked into it. I can't remember the exact amount they spend on fish, but I do remember it being A LOT. After spending all that on a ton of locations, it's gonna add up.
