Once Passover and Easter have passed, the next holiday on the Hebrew calendar is Shavuot, which many call Pentecost. This beautiful festival, shared by Jewish people and followers of Jesus the Messiah, has far-reaching implications for us all. Pentecost starts on Saturday night, June 4, 2022. 4:55 "it is our joy to offer our lives to continue the work that he has started." AMEN AND AMEN. this many teachers forget to emphasize: a transformed life that was once shackled to the enslavement of materialistic world and be free to be servant of our loving father as the light of the world he has chosen his people to be.

Shalom! I’m coming to the end of this year’s Shavuot 06/02/24’. “Sheva”means seven, “shavu’ah” means week and “Shavuot” means weeks in Hebrew! What a blessed day it’s been! HalleluYAH 🙌🏻💜🙌🏻 I’m so eternally grateful that the Father YHWH / יהרה brought me out of the pagan holidays which worship other gods, and HE hates that, and into His beautiful x7 Holy Feasts and Shabbat from Friday sunset through Saturday sunset. For not just Jews but for all who believe in the Father and His Son!! Blessings in Yeshua’s / יהרשע matchless Name. Ahmein and Ahmein.

5:40 bless you for your service for god's kingdom. and thank you for honoring god's gift of time and making this teaching short devoid of fluffs ^_^. but please read all of my comments below. i am a seeker of truth and would appreciate if there is something erroneous in what i have come to understand as the teaching of THE BOOK not wanting to live in error or untruth.

2:39 remember to mention the two loaves were of leavened bread unlike the bread offered in sacrificial offerings made to god. as the loaf of barley was unleavened that represented our sinless lord as the firstfruits of the dead, the two leavened loaves represent faithful believers (redeemed once sinners, jews and gentiles, but still cannot live a totally sinless life even after redemption) but who will become also firstfruits of the dead at their resurrection when jesus returns.

Why is this not preached in the church, it would make it a lot easier to understand. We are blind because the leaders are not teaching us or do not even know themselves

@prayerpowerpartner the rest of mixed multitude didn't go up the mountain because they were afraid. Though Moses broke the tablets, Yahweh did write the torah and give it on that day, regardless of Moses breaking the tablets or the masses unknown sin. So yeah the torah was given that day.

3:42 shavuot is the fulfillment of jesus' promised continued presence with his followers even after he returns to the father by sending the holy spirit not only to be within their midst but within them. all of the spring feast had found fulfillment in the incarnated life of jesus. this summer feast is added to that list of fulfilled promises of god.

The Feast of Weeks was the festival celebrated at the beginning of the grain harvest (Ex 34:22). This was the feast at which the Hebrews offered their firstfruits of the harvest to the Lord at the tabernacle. It was one of the three major Jewish feasts, along with the Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles (see Ex 23:14-17; 34:18-23; Dt 16:1-17). According to Leviticus 23:15, 16, the Feast was celebrated for seven consecutive weeks beginning “the morning following the Sabbath day” of Passover. Thus comes its title, the “Feast of Weeks.” Later in the Old Testament this feast became known as “Pentecost” (“fiftieth”), since it was celebrated on the fiftieth day after Passover (see Tb 2:1; 2Mc 12:32). Pentecost: A Fulfillment of the Jewish Feast The Jewish Feast of Pentecost was fulfilled as described in Acts 2. On this Day of Pentecost came the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples of Christ, as Christ Himself had promised (Jn 14:16, 17). The descent of the Holy Spirit fulfills the Jewish Feast of Pentecost in a number of ways. 1. The reaping of the firstfruits of the grain harvest is fulfilled by the first harvest on the Day of Pentecost, which consisted of the Jews who believed and were baptized. St. John Chrysostom says the Holy Spirit “came down as the keen-edged sickle.” 2. The offering of the two “deposit loaves” of leavened bread (Lv 23:17, 18) is prophetic of the ingathering of both Jews and Gentiles (Bede). St. John Cassian says the preaching of the apostles on the Day of Pentecost was “the true bread of the first fruits . . . when five thousand men were filled with the gift of its food” (Acts 4:4). 3. The fiftieth day-seven consecutive weeks following Pascha plus one day-indicates the fullness of time in a mystery, similar to the Christian understanding of the eighth day. 4. The giving of the Law to Moses by the Son of God is brought to completion by the giving of the Spirit (see Rom 8:3-11; Gal 5:3-6; Eph 2:13-18) to the Church. The Services for Pentecost The Orthodox services for Pentecost place their emphasis on the descent of the Holy Spirit in all His fullness. His descent means that the Mosaic Law, given by the Lawgiver and honored on the Jewish feast day of Pentecost, is now transcended: “The All-Holy Spirit, who freely distributes gifts to all, has descended and come to earth; not as He formerly had in the Law’s dark shadow, shining in the Prophets, but now in very truth, He is bestowed in us through Christ” (Vespers, Thursday after Pentecost). The worship services for Pentecost repeatedly emphasize how Old Testament prophecies of the Holy Spirit are fulfilled on this day. Two of the greatest of these prophecies are found in the Old Testament readings for this Feast-Ezekiel 36:24-28 and Joel 3:1-5. St. Peter directly quotes the passage from Joel in his exhortation to the Jews on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:16-21). A third reading-Numbers 11:16-17, 24-29-relates how the Lord commands Moses to select seventy of the elders of Israel, who, when the Spirit comes upon them, prophesy at the tabernacle. The comment of Moses regarding this event, “Would that all the Lord’s people might be prophets when the Lord would put His Spirit upon them” (Nm 11:29), is prophetic of the Day of Pentecost. A hymn for the Feast of Pentecost declares, “Once, when He descended and confounded the tongues, the Most High divided the nations [Gn 11:1-9]; and when He divided the tongues of fire, He called all men into unity; and with one accord we glorify the All-holy Spirit.”

Beautiful...But Shavuot/Pentecost is 50-days after Feast of Firstfruits, Not Passover - Lev. 23:15-17. Which is why, like Firstfruits is the Day Jesus rose from the Dead on the day after the Sabbath after Passover (1st day of the week) as the Firstfruits of of the Dead, Pentecost is always on a Sunday.

3:53 "50th day after passover." lev 23:15 "you shall count for yourselves...the day after the sabbath." again, pentecost is not a sabbath. please prayerfullly check teachings you receive against what THE BOOK actually teaches. the bereans were commended in the book of acts 17 because eagerly they listened to the teachings of paul and silas but invested time to examine what was actually written. this is so important as errors, or worse, deception is the biggest most successful trick of the evil one even starting from eden.

...I have had a hunger for the Almighty's word for some decades now, but still wrestle with reconciling that same day at evening of Jo.20:19-22, with Acts 2:1-4. Both concern of what seems to me, the administration of the Holy Spirit. One through means of Jesus' breathing on his disciples, the other as cloven tongues like of fire appearing unto them. Can you help? Thank you for your presentation.

2:14 "50th day after passover..." passover is not a sabbath at all as there is no command to abstain from work on that day. it is the day the passover lamb is sacrificed which involves tremendous amount of work as the thousands of lambs are prepared and sacrificed on that day. lev 23:5. it is the first day of the feast of unleavened bread that is an annual sabbath or high day (john: 19:31).

3:43 the pouring out of the holy spirit on shavuot is the subject of joel's prophecy and its partial fulfillment. but it is the full fulfillment of jesus' promise to his followers of his continued presence with them through the holy spirit who will not only be sent in their midst but to indwell them. this outpouring of the holy spirit is also subject to the prophecy of jeremiah and ezekiel. note that the commanded appointed times in lev 23 has at its center god's plan for mankind to be at rest with him in eternity (symbolized by the weekly sabbath) and his plan of the work of jesus for this temporal creation. lev 23 has nothing to do with the mt sinai event. it has everything to do with jesus: his sacrifice, his judgment of his ekklesia, his 1000 millennial rule on earth and finally his turning over of his kingdom to the father on the last great day (8th day from the first day of the 7-day feast of tabernacles).

0:58 "various elements of ....and plan." amen. but jesus is not an also of these lev 23 COMMANDED appointed times. he is the center of it as the appointed times are prophetic symbols of how he will restore (annual commaned appointed times) for us what we lost in eden (weely sabbath that is at the bereshith of the list ^_^: the eternal sabbath rest with god as part of his family of adopted children that still remains to be entered ).

0:43 "once...easter have passed" please reconsider calling the commanded observance of the wave sheaf offering "easter." this is the day that the lord resurrected and became the firsfruits of the dead. easter bunnies and painted boiled eggs have nothing to do with this observance (these have everything to do with the fertility rites for the pagan anglo-saxon goddess oestre). consider how god is so put out when we introduce pagan practices or symbolisms with our worship of him or of our observance of his commanded appointed times.

1:46 "the lamb...sin..." bless you for noticing "sin" is in singular form. so many youtube well known teachers with large followings miss this. the "sin" of the world is "rebellion" (ironically jesus was accused of rebellion against rome punishable by crucifixion. but the truth is the crime he paid for was man's rebellion against god which is being lawless-knowingly not subjecting ones' self to his commands and will. the punishment for this is separation from our loving creator, and if not repented, the consequence is eternal damnation.)

Translator purposefully replaced Shavuot to Pentecost. This is a huge MISTAKE. The Feast of Shavuot was fulfilled by Yeshua's Ascension. Then, the Pentecost happened in the Feast of Wine. These two events can not happen on the same day. According to Torah, all males shall gather in Jerusalem for the Feast of Shavuot which His disciples all Known. He typically told His disciples wait in Jerusalem after Shavuot. May the Feast of Wine be the rapture season?! I hope so in 2024.
