In 1990 Hank Snow asked the brothers to perform at his tribute show so they reunited for this one night. It was the first time they had perfomed as a group in over five years and the last time they ever appeared on stage together

Tompall had a voice like butter. Add Jim and Chuck and it was like adding honey and a hot biscuit.Greatest group that ever stepped up to a mike.America is poorer for the loss of Tompall.

If you listen to them closely, you will notice that Jim steps in on the higher notes that Tompall couldn't comfortably do. Now that is an example of real talent.............and they never missed a beat! We'll not see the likes of them again.

My late father was a big fan of Tompall. I regret now that I didn't appreciate the Glasers back then. I'm trying to make up for that now. Thanks so much to all of you who are sharing their music. I hope many, many new fans are discovering the Glaser Brothers.. They're the real deal. I would max out my credit card and fly halfway around the world just to see these guys perform.

Take note children or you "so called" professional artists of today. This is how it's done!!!!!!! No pyrotechnics, no smashing guitars, no needless flaunting of flesh, no need for pitch correction. This performance is solely based on pure talent & something very much lacking in today's mainstream music as a whole. The way they seamlessly toss around the vocals & while working one mic is truly a joy to watch. After not performing together in over 5 yrs, they still have amazing precision. This performance is the pure definition of professionalism!!!!!!!
@dannyc11744 жыл бұрын
If this is the "real" JD Crowe commenting...Absolutely RIGHT ON with everything you say about this medley performance by the one-of-a- kind Glaser Bros. THE BEST! You, as another true and real professional player and singer (one of the best baritones working one mic), should know. If this is NOT the "real" JD, the same sentiment from me to you applies! Thanks for articulating so well all aspects of this wonderful live performance by these super talented Nebraska country boys

Damn, I have tears in my eyes. I never knew that this "1990 Medley" existed. I had read that their last peformance was at the Hank Snow Tribute but never knew that they sang the same medley as before. One of the greatest songs in true country music is Jim Glaser singing "Loving Her Was Easier", but the three of them together performed some classic country songs. Tompall was a true artist and Jim was also, and yes, it is sad they could not agree on what and when they would sing and who was the leader. I think Tompall was great doing "Put Another Log on the Fire". How about you???

Try looking under the real title “I Turned And Walked Slowly Away”. The original was by Eddy Arnold on RCA Victor back before steel guitars were using pedals. Marty Robbins recorded his version on Columbia and sang it on his shows in the years the Glaser Brothers toured with him as his backup singers. I’m sure that’s how they got so familiar with the song. The Brothers recorded it on an album in the 1960’s. Their album cut is on YT. Eddy Arnold’s and Marty Robbins’ versions are also on YT. There might be others’ too.
