Wow. Ran across this and that is my daddy on the drums. He later played with Loretta Lynn and Jerry Lee Lewis. Just a country boy from Lenior NC. Love it

Very cool. You can tell Roy Acuff was still a little rusty on his fiddle, but the smile on his face as he plays more than makes up for it.

IMO, Gordon Terry is "tied" with Buddy. Two great fiddlers.

Can somebody tell me what is the song that Harold Morrison sang?
@JohnSmith-op1tc4 жыл бұрын
Apparently, it's a Roy Acuff song from '51 called "Pliney Jane." I haven't seen a Wilburn Bros. show in decades, but happily recall the open with the Brothers featuring "Trouble's Back In Town" and the mailbox prop for the guests. Priceless.

>> 9:50 Lorettas gold dress is stunning. As wonderful as it is , it just barely does Miss Loretta justice. Shes a superb singer and a most gorgeous woman. And she knows it. I love her.

This was great show. All that was needed for old Hank Sr. come and sing a few. But we all know that's not possible.
