Steven Seagal is one of those actors who seems to just wander into film sets and the crew just films whatever he gets up to

Similar to Tom Cruise, he's not an actor, he's a movie star. Seagal doesn't play characters, he just appears on camera as himself in every movie

Well, he has been known to assault, both physically and sexually, co-stars and crew members. John Leguizamo has a story about Seagal like throat punching him when he wasn't paying attention because he laughed at something stupid Segal said.

From what I read it's pretty accurate. He just shows up, boss around the crew, blurt out his lines and kick someone in the nuts(if that, because in later movies he just sits down) then just take his check and leave!

True story here. During the making of this movie Steven Segal had a religious awakening or whatever, and didn't want to kill any more in his movies. So the part where he kills the killer in the church, Segal wanted the killer to survive even though it was a pretty lethal shot. In the end they kept him dead and the actor Steve Tobolowsky talked about it in an interview. It is on youtube.

Interesting thing after I watched this review my feed suddenly showed up with "truth about Steven Segal" videos and the one you mentioned was there. It was interesting. I wonder what would happen if him and Bruce Willis did a movie together? The crew would probably kill themselves.

His religious "awakening" was because he visited the Dhali Lama in Tibet and gave the monks a huge donation and was made a "Deity". Thus he didn't want to "kill in his movies" anymore. Stephen Seagal is such a fuckin clown that at some point sniffed his own farts and thought others should too.

The reason why Steven Seagal always wears that ridiculous jacket is because (And I am not joking) he believes that he is the reincarnation of a Buddhist Lama.

This was covered by Rob Schneider in an interview he did with Howard Stern. I don't recall the movie they did together, but Schneider has some excellent stories. Apparently Steve called Rob into his super huge trailer while on set to talk about something. Seagal comes from one of the back rooms and tells Schneider, "I just read.....the most amazing script, ever." Schneider plays along, "Oh really, who wrote it?" "I did." Then Seagal "casually" brings up the fact in conversation that he went to Tibet, me the Lama, and said the Lama called Steven a diety. Clearly it went to Steve's head.

@@markiangooley thats usually after a while. You're supposed to get breast implants redone every 10 years or so I think. The implants can get hard or migrate if they're in for too long. I think thats why the stereotype of washed up older women in Hollywood having weird looking hard fake breasts is a thing. If you've gotten it done fairly recently it will still look clear. I agree it does look BRAND new though, still too new.

The actor who Seagal shot in the church said that his character lived with a hole blown through his chest because Seagal was actually into hippie dippie passivism at the time. Aikido facts: Yeah, Segal uses a very cannibalize version of Aikido. The only reason he is a black belt is because of politics between Japanese Dojos and the American Aikido Association. Someone who looks good doing Aikido on camera is Jerald Akamira. Aikido was created to fight people who had swords, when you were on the battle field and you don't have a sword. Fun Fact, Michael Rooker is also trained in Aikido, and is close friends with one of the "teacher of teachers".

Please please PLEASE guys, do Serenity (2019)! It's an absolute mindfuck of a movie with more shirtless McConaughey than should be allowed in a film

Oh man I hope they get to Against the Dark at some point. It is clearly after Seagal is unable to do any action but before he really bloated like he looks now. So they put another actor/character in to be the guy getting attacked all the time and it is so strange.

Its so funny how I watched these movies back then, most of them on VHS , and never noticed the amount of nonsense that was thrown at my face every minute. Takes this kind of review to open your eyes I guess.
